OT Lions Thanksgiving blackout
I will be the first to admit that I have been finding other things to do with my Sunday afternoons than watch the Lions recently, but not having them on Thanksgiving is going to be different. The NFL needs to rethink this rule considering the economic situation.

This game is on Sunday, the Lions play the Packers on Thanksgiving. I can almost guarantee that game will be sold out.

the nfl's blackout rule is so stupid. it doesn't encourage local fans to attend the games. it causes local fans to lose interest in an already irrelevent team.

I'd like to watch the game but I'm sure as hell not buying a ticket for the lowly Lions. If the game is not televised I guess I'll be spending the afternoon playing Madden with my bro.

I really wish the anti-trust people would get on the NFL for their blackout policy. It has always been about greed; they feel that a blackout will help sell tickets. In reality, all it has done is help the NFL be surpassed by college football, which has no blackout rule, as the most popular version of the game.
