OT: Lions-Saints Playoff Game Open Thread

Submitted by M-Wolverine on

OK, this other games sucks, so get all your positive Lion talk in now, since not being able to hold a 2nd string QB to under 40 has probably killed any chance of seeing the Lions win their second playoff game in most of our lifetimes. At least I'm not still in New Orleans for it.

When the Saints sell out on coverage, they REALLY sell out on coverage.

Just keep dropping eight and leaving most everyone reasonably open, New Orleans. We don't mind.

The rule is that even if the whistle blows.... if it is ruled a fumble on the play...then it is a live ball and the recovering team gets possesion on that spot but cant advance it *since the whistle blew

This happened earlier this year either to the Lions or maybe Michigan...i forget but the team did not pick up the ball and just left it laying there... which was bad.

Lions offense is as good as the Saints.

Our defensive front four is better than any of the rest in the league.

We're going to win.

"Yep. We saw it as a fumble on the field. Oh, why did we blow the whistle? Because we saw it as an imcomplete pass."

I hate all refs everywhere.*

*Other than the replay official at the Sugar Bowl.

the Saints receiver would've had a chance at the tackle had he not stopped playing at the whistle. I was pissed at first too but the replay shows all the Saints players stopped.

Would have just contributed to the off-setting penalties there, but it was ridiculous. Held up Fairley and then took out his legs. Textbook 15-yarder that didn't get called.
