NBCSports.com has an article that points to the official release of the NFL schedules as potentially being this Tuesday - http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/15/

It mentions that TVGuide.com has 7 PM EDT on Tuesday listed as "SportsCenter Special: NFL Schedule Release", and while that is true (I looked at my own regional listings), the NFL has officially said nothing as yet, so far as I can see. The NFL Network naturally lists "Total Access" in the same  slot.

The fake schedule that someone mentioned appeared on Pride Of Detroit, I think, and it did list the Lions first game as Monday, September 10th against Green Bay. I believe the author of the schedule later came clean as well.

Even at that, it would be all sorts of awesome if it actually turned out to be true.

A little surprising. Usually they flip flop whether they play division rivals at home earlier or later. They clearly played the Packers at home earlier than they played on the road. But it shows how far this franchise has come in three years. Now if they can just win the damn game.

I would love it if this is true. I went to the MNF game vs the Bears last season and the atmosphere was unbelieveable. Just electric. You couldn't hear yourself think when the Bears were on offense. The best part was when the crowd forced 3 false starts on the Bears first offensive possesion. They also forced a false start while the Bears were trying to punt from their own end zone. I've never heard a crowd louder when the opposing team was trying to punt.

My ears literally hurt the next day from the noise level. I took my Dad and I will definitely be taking him to this one if true.
