OT: Lions hire new QB coach
...and he is Jim Bob Cooter, which sounds like the beginning of a bad joke or the opening credits of the Dukes of Hazzard. However, its a parallel move from the same job in Denver, which I hope bodes well for Stafford.

There is a reality show on Discovery called "Moonshiners." It features a number of residents of the Southeast, who according to the show, produce non-regulated alcoholic beverages with incredibly high proofs.
One of the regulars on the show is named "Jim Tom." He is an older gentleman and is kind of a guru-like figure. He has a heavy Southern accent and tends to blur his words together. It is unlcear if this is a product of where he grew up or the non-regulated alcoholic beverages with incredibly high proofs (or both). They use subtitles when he talks.
Since Jim Bob is close to Jim Tom, I asked if the Lions hired the old guy from Moonshiners. The other posts referenced Jim Tom's rapid fire manner of speech.
FWIW - In no way I am trying to disrepect Jim Tom or anyone who can make their own non-regulated alcoholic beverages with incredibly high proofs. (Please share.)

So our head coach is known for developing quarterbacks, our offensive coordinator is a former qb coach, and now another qb coach... I feel like we are trying to improve something, but I can't put my finger on it...
I mean, we've gotten absolute squat out of Kellen Moore the past couple years. It's about time we did something about that.

Even putting aside his time with the Broncos, Cooter has a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. The guy can obviously manage sports.

Yeah it's sort of a vicious cycle. I start in the winter, get a good point total going, crack a few jokes hahaha lol, then football season comes around, we start losing, I hit the bottle and make threads about firing coaches, mods delete the threads, I make them again, hookers start disappearing, and then comes the banhammer.
