OT Lets Rant Open Thread

Submitted by Dark Blue on
In an effort to contain all of the craziness to one thread, I give you the I'm pissed off about _______ thread. Whatever it is that makes you mad get it off of your chest here. I'll start. I hate TV, what happened to good TV shows. Everything now a days is reality based. Even of the freaking history channel you get reality shows. If I want to watch reality I'll go out my front door thank you very much. Have fun with this, get it all off of your chest, and the winner will receive a nice pos-bang.

To go along with this...i hate final papers being crammed into a seven day period. Yeah i have had weeks to work on them, but lets be honest who really gets papers done weeks before they are due. I mean i have to check MGoBlog at least once a day and that could take at least an hour or two. Or five, depends on the news.

IS NOT PCHEM. CHEM230 IS NOT PCHEM. Chemistry majors aren't allowed to take Chem230 because its "Introduction to physical chemistry for non-chemistry majors" AKA its a JOKE. Chem461/463 are PCHEM! -Sorry, this is something that really gets on my nerves on this campus

I'm right there with ya. I hate having my econ, History and Stats exams on the same day. Also, they will most likely cause me to miss the draft. Also, I have a 10 page term paper due the day after. ugh.

I hate when people refer to THE "spread offense" as if having multiple receivers automatically means the Rodriguez option read is the same as the Leach air raid. I also hate when people say it is too cold to run the spread in the big ten, as if Slot receivers have some sort of aversion to 40 degree temperatures.

I was of the opinion that reality TV was garbage, too. After reading "Everything Bad is Good for You", I have had a bit of a change of heart. The author maintains that reality programs involve the viewers much more in thinking along with the competitors. Rather than passively absorbing a plot line as we did in the good old days, viewers tend to get more actively involved in the shows, stimulating more brain usage. My favorite reality TV is sports.

Yeah, I had a pretty nice day today. I didn't fire RichRod or sign him to a twelve year extension that included a "no need to win" clause. I didn't start Tate, bench Tate, start Denard, move Denard to slot, give Devin a redshirt, give Devin the starting job while redshirting Tate and moving Denard to slot. I didn't ban "The Fighting Irish", or "The Fighting Illini", or the Virginia Tech Redneck. I didnt mispel any words or having any grammar erros. I didn't assume sarcasm or totally miss it. I didn't double post. All in all, a good day.

I hate "haters"... no matter what the issue you have the few who just bang on a kid for whatever reason, nail a coach without justification or just trash a team because their not achieving a National Title every year.

I hate a lot of things, but there is one thing that grinds my gears more than anything. I absolutely cannot stand it when there is a crosswalk, and people take their sweet fucking time to cross, knowing damn well there might be people waiting to turn right or left. They don't even act like they are quickening their pace, instead they are reading Yahoo! OMG on their iPhone while sipping their fucking latte. I hate that shit.

without the letters R - A - N - T, we'd be living in the Uied Ses of Meic. Our coach would be Ich Odiguez. Our QB would be Ded Obiso or E Foci, with an edshi going to Devi Gde. And perhaps worst of all, one of our linebackers would be Obi Ezeh.

I hate waiting until September to find out if all this hype is true. I hate that some of it will probably be not true. But most of all I hate waiting until September to see this team prove the naysayers wrong

I bought a package of brats. They come in 4-packs only. Fucking buns only come in 6. I may be able to eat 8 or so brats, but not the fucking 12 I would need to use exactly the right amount of brats and buns. WTF am I going to do with all that fucking extra bread?

Copy and paste the question into google and you should find an answer. Or at least that's what I did for the vast majority of my Mastering Physics. The ones in the book aren't normally online, but hopefully you did those in discussion (I never did) or are smart enough to figure them out (I never was).

Subjective grading. Here I am writing a paper for a class, and I'm told when I get it back that it's supposed to be more about my opinion and less book report. So I write the next paper and I get back that it's too broad and I need to narrow down my focus. I write the third paper and once again I get it back and I find out I'm STILL not focused enough. WHAT DO YOU WANT OUT OF ME PROF?! I'M WRITING MY OPINION AND SOMEHOW MY OPINION IS NOT WHAT IT SHOULD BE?? TELL ME HOW TO WRITE OR HOW YOU WANT ME TO WRITE THEN!! GAHHH!!!! (Yeah that feels better...)

Religious Philosophy professors that decided the course was a good opportunity for them to dictate religious philosophy to you. I took a W because it was either that, or break the guy's face for telling us which philosphies were "right".

I cant stand it when the lady gives me grief. Yeah I called her up, she gave me a bunch of crap about me not listening to her, or something, I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention.

I hate junk popular culture, like all the magazines at the supermarket checkout stand that either wax on celebrities' personal lives or tell women how to get a better butt and narcissistic crap like that. Why do we need to give a crap about the Bachelor's drama, or a woman with eight kids? (Sad to say there are two such mothers on the magazines these days.) Do any of those better butt tricks work? They never did for any of my girlfriends. Also sick of stupid college football commentators. Most of the color men on college broadcasts these days add nothing to the viewer's game experience. Also sick of Michigan sports sucking. Go Wings.

I despise whoever decided that Aero 215 should only be offered at 8:30 am MWF. I hate myself for having a resistance to caffeine and giving up on attending at all and then (somewhat justifiably) comparing my professor to a South Park Christmas Critter in her end of term evaluations.

Nothing like giving the prof free reign to make the class incredibly difficult. One of my classes had a midterm average of 60% and a final exam average of 56%. Nothing like paying a fortune to get a good grade yet feel like you didn't learn a damn thing.
