OT - Leigh Steinberg personal collapse
Just a week after he was being quoted as an expert by Joe Nocera in Nocera's NYT Sunday Magazine article in which Nocera advocated paying collegiate football and basketball players, sports agent Leigh Steinberg is declaring bankruptcy and confessing that he's been compromised for years by alcoholism, "checking out episodically" with "impaired judgment."

And HERE was a short op-ed reply by NCAA President Mark Emmert in the Wall Street Journal just yesterday. While I agree with Emmert, I didn't care too much for his op-ed; it was too soft and too institutional for my tastes, but of course it is the NCAA. Forever bringing its knife, to the next gunfight.

Undoubtedly Steinberg's alcoholism started as a way to cope with the injustice of the Freep's character assassination of RR.
