OT: Late Night Open Thread

Submitted by Noleverine on

With the season approaching, there won't be any room for late-night open thread chatter, so I thought I'd open one last one.

What's on your mind?  What are you looking forward to seeing most this year? What are you doing to keep your sanity for the one last week until kickoff?

As always, gifs, pics, and videos are welcome to help pass the night away.

I'll start us off:

Mh thoughts tonight are that I think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.

Excited to watch Lions vs Patriots even if it's just preseason tonight. Also looking forward to watching UNLV @ Wisconsin & Lions @ Bills on Thursday. This how I will get through the week.

Been a long time since I have posted here.  hope everyone has been doing well over the past year or so.  I am really looking foward to UM utilizing the QB run as an option and the read option.  Both plays are exciting and beautiful to watch.  I am going to miss seeing those plays get fazed out over the next several years as morris takes up the reigns of QB.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I updated th unofficial two deep a couple minutes ago.

I didn't do anything major, but I updated Special Teams based on what Hoke said about the kickers, punters, and returners.

I also moved T. Gordon into a starting safety spot based on what Hoke said today. Although I am still unclear about how the personel will work when we are in base defense vs. nickel vs. dime.

Anyways, I'm sure some things will change as soon as tomorrow, so someone can fix it if I made any mistakes.

Easily one of my favorites of the series, and definitely one of the better films of the summer. Also for anyone into to rap/hip-hop and wants to hear Ludacris go crazy check out Too Easy-Tyrese ft. Ludacris. Tyrese Gibson's parts are mostly you're basic auto-tuned whatever. Not bad, not good. Ludacris' part is some of his best, in my opinion. Well, you wanted what was on my mind and that was it.

Michigan-wise, I can't wait to see our defense not give 15 yard cushions to receivers. I also look forward to see us going 10-2. I know everyone is saying 8-4, but that means we would lose every single competitive game, something I don't see happening. To pass my time M-W,  classes and then basketball until I can't run anymore. Thursday and Friday, classes and watching football. If anyone wanted to stalk me, there's my exciting life. I also suggest you seek some professional help.

Anyone anyone...

Other than that I believe Al Borges will be tremendous if the O-line stays healthy.

I just had pancakes down out Dupar's this evening @ the grove here in LaLa.  Their hotcakes are ridiculous!  I'm looking forward to comparing pancakes and a plethora of other assorted high-caloric-intake-binge-worthy delights upon my arrival in Ann Arbor.

+1 from me OP just on that GIF alone, WTF was he thinking? You gots to bail immediately when you see an object headed straight for your cock and balls. Sucks to be him, that hurt my junk just watching it, always funny when it's someone else though.

Layover btw Detroit to Boston (yea, doesn't make much sense).  Spent some time in a bar in the airport talking football w/ some SEC fans.  I always thought they hated the Big 10 but they had nothing but really great things to say about Michigan, Denard, etc.  This was around January, after the Bowl game, but they thought that Michigan was on their way back up, and mentioned hoping to never have to play against Denard.

Frankly, I don't blame them.

So what do you do that brought you out to Irvine?

From the PANYNJ site:

"Due to Hurricane Irene, all Port Authority Airports will close to arriving domestic and international flights at noon tomorrow. The five airports will remain open for departing flights pending further updates. Please check with your carrier before coming to JFK. There will be limited mass transit access to the airport. The MTA will begin to shutdown all train, bus, and subway services throughout the city and on Long Island starting at 12:00 p.m. At the same time, NJ Transit will suspend all rail operations and at 6:00 p.m., all bus operations will be suspended. Visit the transit agencies websites for more up to date news on their operations. You can also visit www.panynj.com for updated info and weather for all "

I too will mark the passage of time in this thread.  I am sitting in one of the libraries on campus, waiting for my review class to start.  I had a fun bike ride to start my day, and I look forward to many hours of taking notes and doing practice passages.  I've been DOMINATING on my practice tests lately, so my confidence is up.  Less than a week to go, and then the testing phase is over.
