Remember the RUMORS, that Lesticles was telling Michigan recruits that Lloyd was dying? So it doesn't really surprise me that Kiffin would have a few stories lined up for almost every program in the nation.

Not even close. Potential creepiest post ever candidates must include the following criteria: 30+ year-old males, high-school football players and face book. But that is a really F'ed up post.

Even those "Rocky Mountain hicks" know that the Rocky Mountains are 1,000+ miles away from Knoxville. Never heard of the Appalachian Mountains, or maybe even Smokey Mountains? Really, you've got to try a little harder on this blog.

it has the aroma to me of being something concocted by a Kiffin-hater. For one thing, how many recruits are both USC and Florida going after right now? I would think their respective recruiting bases are so far apart geographically that one doesn't really affect the other.

I will agree that this sounds completely ridiculous and if I had to bet my life I'd say it's not true. But regarding geographical proximity and recruiting your argument is way off. This isn't the 1950's anymore. Most top recruits are targeted by the top schools regardless of their location, period. I do also agree though that there cannot be that many UF/USC recruits that are still on the board this late in the game. That is unless Kiffin is flat out calling down UF's "commit list" and trying to get them to switch.

I'm willing to bet significant $$$$ that Lane Kiffin's last breath will be in the trunk of a car. Might not be now, might not be soon, but somebody is gonna do this asshole in. He will end up in the trunk of someone's car eventually. I'll be there to console Layla when it happens.

I wondered why UF put out that release on Meyer planning to coach for spring practice. Seemed like an odd news story at the time, now it makes sense.

That's the first thing I thought of when I started reading this thread topic. It makes sense why he would announce it now. Meyer does not seem to be one to ignore rumors but instead squelches them quickly. I wouldn't mind seeing any and every team out there run the score on USC whenever possible.I never really hated them with Carroll, now with Kiffin they have become the enemy.

Note this in the same blog post the OP references above: "me thinks Laney should worry more about what TMZ uncovers regarding his sordid social life in Knoxville during his short stay on Rocky Top." Hoo boy! I see endless blog posts if that amounts to anything. At times I almost feel sorry for Lane. I don't think he fully understands that in this day and age, if you are going to piss off people by the busload, you better be squeaky clean yourself. Everyone will be looking for dirt and everyone walks around with a camera.
