Someone needs to tell the Celtics there's eight minutes left. Celtics opened their biggest lead of the game (6-7 pts) and Big Baby Davis about vomited on the court he was screaming so loud. Anyone else watching or is everyone either staring at the Big Ten website hoping for a longhorn logo to go up?
OT: Lakers @Boston (NBA Finals Game 4)
Sheed gets a Technical arguing a foul. here it comes....
I think Rasheed looks hilarious every time they call a foul on him. That technical was deserved...and I'm a Celtics fan.
he hit the big shot right there. 6 remaining, Celtics up by 7
Celtics came to play.
"Nate Robinson just picked up the technical for being emotionally... drunk."
Luck the Fakers.
That's an important job....keeping your finger on the "delay" button when Sheed goes on a tirade. Can't be pretty. EARMUFFS!!!
I swear watching the Celtics play is like watching wide receivers celebrate after first downs - they go crazy after every single basket... correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that what they're paid millions of dollars to do anyways?
someone asked me why i was rooting against the Celtics. while i'm not a Kobe fan, it's mostly him that has the attitude, etc. with Boston it's a majority of the roster. it's way easier to cheer for how insane Fisher plays in the Playoffs than any of the Celtics because of it.
dont WR's celebrate with TD's? it's kinda the same thing...except the scoring happens more often in basketball. and they keep their intensity up, and they like to celebrate their scoring. got a problem with that? cheer for LA...but boston fans like to see their players hyped up.
Fair. I would classify TDs as "big plays" - I've got no problem with celebrating big buckets - just not floaters down the lane with 7 minutes left.
I know not everyone feels this way, but I actually like it when my athletes look like they're having fun, like they're not only professionals on the job, but fans of the sport as well, guys who love the game. Part of why I always loved Sheed when he was in Detroit (and still do) is that he wears his heart on his sleeve.
The NBA playoffs are still going on? Penn State was joining in the last conference expansion when they started.
Rasheed went down like he was hurt and writhed during the play. then gets helped up and enters the lane for Kobe's free throws. wtf?!
Refs have let the crowd dictate the game. Lakers can't buy a foul.
that's called making up for game 3...
What about Gasol's flop?? To draw a foul
I really don't want either team to win in this years NBA finals
This series is like the 2006 OSU-ND Fiesta Bowl. Which one is the lesser evil? I don't know...they're both evil. I have no vested interest in this series, but at the very least it would be amusing to see Kobe hit some clutch shots after reading that article Brian linked in mgo.licio.us about Kobe not being "clutch."
The Celtics definitely came to play last night. I know I'm probably in the miniority here but I like when the players let their emotions go and celebrate. It means their putting all their emotion in the game.
