OT - LA Casting Call - Amica Insurance

Submitted by BiaBiakabutuka21 on

Hi everyone,

This is somewhat of an unusual thread but I wanted to bring this to your attention.  I emailed Brian to ask him for permission to post this here and he agreed.

I'm a recent UM Graduate living in LA working for a commercial casting company.  I have even seen Jarrod Bunch come through the studio I work at for an audition or two.  We are about to start casting for an insurance company called Amica and they are looking for actual customers to be in it.

We are reaching out to all of the resources we have to find the customers and I thought I may as well reach out to the biggest sports blog I know of that I happen to read multiple times a day.

I know there are a good amount of readers in the LA area and it would be pretty sweet for someone in the Mgocommunity to have the chance to make a very nice supplement to their income... probably about $10,000-30,000 depending on how long the commercial runs.

This is for REAL Amica Auto Insurance Customers only.  If you are a real Amica Auto Insurance customer and are in or can be in the LA are email me at [email protected].  Please no joke emails.  If you have any questions feel free to ask in this thread.

for Amica 6 months ago then you could definitely audition.  We have done 3 or 4 of these campaigns now though and are always looking for new people to audition.

And just to clarify, how much money you make depends completely on how much the commercial runs.  You get what is called a session fee up front which would be about $1000 and then depending on how much it runs on air, you could make a lot more.

Also, Tom, I remember reading on your twitter a while back that you were going over sides... are you interested in acting at all on the side... just curious.

... but could be tough finding Cali policyholders on a Michigan board for an insurance company based in Rhode Island.

20% of the residuals should go to MgoBlog...

I'm the auditionee.  Been reading this blog since its infancy, but I have only commented once (see comment #79, Age of Miracles).  If I land the part, Brian can definitely expect some "Beveled Guilt" in his direction.

Many thanks to BB21.
