OT: Kind of Superstitious but Did The Designers of the CCHA Shop Frozen Four 2012 Gear Jinx Michigan?
http://www.thecchashop.com/category_s/689.htm
I know they pick teams that have the best chances to go to the Frozen Four as examples but I feel even weirder about the loss now. I'm very superstitious when it comes to Michigan and stuff like this doesn't bode well with me....

Colorado College wasn't even in the tournament. I have to think that was just a placeholder. Also, Merrimack was not in the tournament and BU and Minnesota had to play each other. It's just random pictures

and Merrimack and they were almost dead on with everyone else's brackets. I'm just very happy I didn't see this before the game on Friday. I see anything like that as a bad omen. Again superstition coming to the surface sorry.

The only reason Michigan was on there was because they picked all of the one seeds but probably couldn't find a logo for Union because Union is a school that's so unknown that they have to put their state in parentheses after their school name: Union (NY).
We lost because we were like 0-for-7 on the PP and 0-for-2 on the 5x3 and let Cornell have a SHG on top of that
Not to mention our very intelligent timing of penalties and our great selection in taking them.
We lost because we scored less goals than the other team. It was vaguely weighted chance and we got the bad end. The CCHA shop designers do not equal hockey gods.
"That's not fair, I'm just speaking out of hurt."
Fans and observers have nothing to do with a team's success on the ice, floor, or field. People are waaaaaay too superstitious about minutia. Our team lost last night because they didn't play well, end of story. UM was given every chance to win (see penalty minutes) but for one reason or another they lost.
I really, really, really don't like the segment of the fanbase that feels they have to wear the same jersey, socks, or whatever to "help their team win". It's illogical and demeans the skill of those who are actually competing. I don't care how things bode for you; your inner feelings have no impact on a game.
False. We lost because Brian posted previews for the Michigan-Ferris/Denver game.
I'm kidding, obviously, but do you really find that demeaning? If I were a player, if anything, I'd be happy & honored that people were so invested.
THE CURSE OF THE FROZEN FOUR GEAR doesn't seem to be hurting Minnesota, BC, or North Dakota much so far.
...to be the reason.

Totally unrelated, totally. However, will real and meaningfully effective negging be coming back to the board this offseason?
It's amazing how rapidly the quality of what constitutes a board topic hath descended.
Totally unrelated.

We lost this game because we reverted to a Hero offense. Everyone wanted to be the star who would cut through the wall of defenders by himself and lead us to victory, so Cornell played four across the blueline. We did not start playing real hockey until the last 6 minutes of the game when we started hitting and crashing net.
It was like the 2010-11 team all over again, so much talent but they let the finesse get in their own way.

Maybe we just lost the game.

Supersitious is just another word for stupid.

but they should put Texas, Cal, Campbell and South Carolina on those to avoid the frustration saddened fans suffer from seeing their team on one of these samples after losing.
They did this last year and the year before.
The Michigan logo is attractive and they want to show what it will look like on the shirt.
It's just an example of what it could like. It's not like it's any championship gear.
I just think that it's silly to think that we fans think we can decisively impact a game. Outside of making noise here and there, games play themselves out in the arena. To put it succinctly: I don't believe in curses, jinxes, superstitions, etc. Sure, some of them can be fun for the fans to talk about but they don't have a real impact.
Then again, maybe I'm just upset that most of my favorite teams lost and D. Rose is still injured :'(
I agree. The most help we can give is to make a great environment at Yost to get the players excited/help recruiting.
