Cameron and Miles with their Michigan ties...but nothing directly involving Michigan.
Nonetheless, link:
No way. He's been an NFL OC for a long time, and a HC for a short time. The way things ended in Baltimore tarnished it a bit, but he was still a good OC while he was there, and he was a fantastic OC in San Diego. He has coached a ton of great players in college and the pros, so I would have been surprised if he didn't get a job at this level.
What college OC has a resume anywhere near Cameron?
He also had a ton of talent, hard not to be productive. He was awful at Indiana as HC. He took a somewhat respectable program run by Bill Mallory and got run out of town.
I agree with you that Cam Cameron has not been a good HC at any point, but that's not what he's being hired to do here so who cares.
Sure, he had a talent in SD, but every team has a lot of talent. He was able to make that talent very productive for a number of years.
the game has passed him by. Doesn't try to use spacing, bunch or other concepts to free up WRs in passing game.
Les Miles has never had a great offense and never developed a comptent QB. That spells a disaster IMO.
I thought is play calling was pretty good and he definitely has a good track record as an OC... not so much as HC, but as an OC I would take him over most college coaches...

We are the dead.
Lord knows they could use him, their offense should've been a lot better last year.

Between Les Miles and his poor clock management and the play calling of Cam Cameron.Forget it.
"Are you an official here?Because you've officially given me a boner."
Cam would do a better job as the OC than Al!

Wasn't Cam-Cam the coach at indiana who added a black helmet and changed the logo to create a new image and it was a disaster?
At least one thing makes sense about this: Cam's worldview will mesh well with the stereotypical Deep South mindset. It apparently alienated some players in Baltimore.

I think Cam Cameron knows where the infamous Ray Lewis white suit is.
"Are you an official here?Because you've officially given me a boner."
Cam's reputation here was the opposite of what people call "a player's coach". It's been a long time, but he certainly didn't endear himself to many of the players here.
I'm sorry to thread hijack but since I haven't commented much here since the haloscan days I do not have enough points to start my own thread. My wife and I (both 2-time alums) got married in Ann Arbor last year. As part of our big day we had pictures taken at the big house. Our photographer selected one of our pictures from the tunnel for a contest that he is currently having. First prize is a 30x20 print. We are currently in second place and need more votes by noon EST tomorrow. If you could find it in your heart to click the link below and leave a a comment we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance and Go Blue!

Very, very close to NOT being OT, given Cam and Les and all.
I actually thought that's a better gig than Cam was going to get. I figured, the way it played out with the Ravens, he was going to be damaged goods and would have ended up at a much lesser college program (middling BCS program, for instance).
