OT: Kevin Love out for entire playoffs
Breaking news out of Cleveland. The Cavs Kevin Love will miss the entire playoffs due to the accidental amputation of his arm little oopsie inflicted when Boston's Kelly Olynick went Ricky Mahorn and decided their best chance of winning was to channel the 1988 Pistons team.

This really, really sucks. OIC.....OIC.
His intent was obviously not to pull Love's arm out of its socket. HOWEVA, his intent was clearly to inflict pain on Love.. And that's disgusting.
All I know is that should the Cavs season end somewhere south of Lebron hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy this new fuckwad will join that old fuckwad on the list of people most hated in this town.
If done on purpose then Olynick has some moves. He and Darko should fight.
All of these comments and not one of these:
Im disappointed in all of you
The refs are more to blame than anyone else.
They let the game get out of control and the cheap shots escalated.
Love's injury is unfortunate, but it's part of the sport. Knee on knee hits happen in hockey but a vast majority of times it is unintentional.
Olynyk absolutely pulled on Love's arm, but that's a play that happens 100 times a game and doesn't result in an injury.
The shoulder is the most unstable joint in the body, and the big men in basketball who almost all have arm spans over 7 feet long are especually susceptible to dislocations.
He held his arms up because they called a foul, not because he was going for a malicious play.
It's sports, people get injured.
The only semi-interesting tidbit of this whole fiasco may be how this injury affects Love's desire to go to Boston next year. It's probably minimal, but the fact that he was injured by a careless Celtic could make Boston less deisrable for him, and that might affect other FAs as well depending on any domino effect his signing may have.
But yeah, Cleveland isn't really a "lovable" team, and while it sucks to lose a top player, I'm not sure if the Cavs were ever going to win a championship with the team they currently field.

I don't think Olynick was trying to seriously injure Love. I think there were players wearing a Cavs uniform with far worse intentions. Shit happens. That injury was a fluke. I refuse to believe Olynick's goofy ass could pull a ninja mma move on purpose and rip a shoulder out of socket. Sucks for Love. Goodluck to the Cavs. It's just part of the game.

I don't understand all the KO hate. His play resulted in an injury but other plays by other players surely had equal or higher chances to result in equal or worse injuries. Shit happens... I guarantee you there were Cav players doing a lot of arm pulling that night... they were just lucky they didn't dislocate anyone's arm.
Looking at actions that are essentially equal differently because they resulted in unequal consequences is illogical. At the end of the day, a lot of players were doing the same thing, one player isn't dirtier than another just because he got unlucky.
