OT: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Diagnosed with Leukemia
This is sad. It normally doesn't affect me when celebrities get diagnosed with a disease any more than any other stranger. But, this guy is an icon. He got the dunk banned from college basketball because he was so dominant with it. The only way that UCLA could lose when he was with them was when he was injured.

Kareem was diagnosed with CML, a very treatable form of leukemia. I've now lived with the disease for 7+ years, no limitations, no lifestyle changes. Clearly, nobody wants cancer but if you have it, this is the type to have. He'll be fine.
