Good for Verlander. Somewhere Spike Albrecht is crying into his pillow.

EDIT: Nevermind, forgot that Spike has to focus on Indiana. He can take out his revenge from deep in Assembly Hall.

Good to see Verlander have some fun.  However, Max Scherzer is cocky and focused on being the best pitcher in baseball.  At some point, Justin is going to have to stop being Roy Hobbs and start competiting to be the best again.  Should make for an interesting season.  I think the Tigers are going to have a 1984 type year.

that his long relief of Fister in game 4, and win, against Oakland was his single greatest moment of 2013.

And how do you lay the blame for the game 2 loss against Boston on Scherzer?  He gave up one run over seven innings and left the game with a 5-1 lead only to watch the next five relief pitchers give up one run a piece to lose the game 6-5.
