Then Bell will have to sit out a play.
OT: Johnathan Hankins says he'll "rip Le'Veon Bell's head off"
This is exactly why we need the real refs in there. The replacement refs have no idea about the nuances of these rules.
Cuz his bell would've have been run(g)....
Thanks everybody, you can catch me again at 2, 5 and 9!
(sorry couldn't resist)
I thought it was 10, 2 and 4. Nope, wait, that's Dr. Pepper. Never mind.
I think MSU is in big trouble in this game.
Yeah, they'll have to play with a headless RB. No way he sees the holes after that.
Dude, this would be awesome if they installed a carved pumpkin in place of what was his head, cause then all of the OSU D would be all freaked out yelling "Emrgerd its the headless running back!"
I'm just saying.
The Legend of Sleepy Lansing?
Not being able to see holes would present an issue. OTOH, Bell's center of gravity would be lower making him harder to tackle.
was playing littering this week. Did he mean he'd pick up Le'Veon Bell's trash and recycle for him?
A headless Bell is still their best option.
But only due to the new helmet rule, because Bell would need to sit out until his helmet were back on. With no head, I don't know how Bell could come back into the game due to the new rule.
only affects you if your helmet comes off. If they seal the helmet to his shoulder pads he won't actually need to have a head. On the bright side he won't have to worry about getting a concussion.
My guess is that this will only fuel Gholston's desire to do the same to Braxton Miller.
Well as long as Ohio State doesn't leave him unblocked, that shouldn't be a problem.
He certainly has the track record for attempted decapitation.
Gholston looks like Jevon Kearse, but plays like Pat Massey
Now that's cold.
William Gholston looks like Vernon Gholston and plays like Vernon Gholston.
Terry Glenn talked a lot of crap about Michigan, didn't amount to much.
Well, threats coming from guys who are 6'3'' and 300+ lbs hold a bit more water than ones coming from receivers...
Isn't that special.
Paging Mr. Goodell
Two classiest teams in the B1G.
Up - Down - Up - Down - Block - Low Kick ....?!?
This is great. You never hear any player say stuff like this anymore.
But for the record...doesn't seem like either one has much going on above the neck anyway.
If he does do so, does this count as a premeditated murder??!!!
I'm so excited to watch these two offensive juggernauts just go at it.
"That's assault, brotha."
"Ya double dare me?"
Will Shazier and Grant play hot potato with it as they learn the fundmentals of wraping their arms around something?
...and then he will probably proceed to eat it.
him and tom g went to the same HS...cant say im not surprised.
"can't say I'm surprised"...or...
"I am not suprised" would have made sense there.
Not what you said.
Unless it was meant sarcastically, which brings up a whole different set of possibilities!
"Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has said the Buckeyes defense is built for stopping a straight-ahead runner like Bell, but it also ranks last in the Big Ten while giving up 394.8 yards per game." - from the article
So, we can conclude from this that there is indeed a more practical foundation for this strategy as Hankins has explained it. Clearly, this might be the only way they can stop the rush. I wonder what a decapitation formation looks like on Ohio's base defense - would it make sense for it to come on a biltz?
Ohio State's defensive line prefers this formation -
being from Detroit, he spoke with Gholston this summer about how he does it?
Do you think MSU will leave and move to Colorado after Bell is decapitated?
Head removal was OJs best move outside the Hertz spin move. Does he count as a staff member if he is in jail?
Edit: Hello 1994 joke topped with a 1982 joke. Recycling is good for the enviroment.
If he tries that, Bell will just jump over him.
There will be someone your 400 pound running back won't be able to jump over. Gravity has limits
After he rips Bells head off and Brutus rips Sparties head off the B1G could have only 2 ranked teams left. That's effed up, right there. It's possible that Northwestern and Minnesota will move into the rankings, as both teams could be 5-0 at that point, but with the amount of love we get already I have my doubts. 4-0 MInnesota received exactly ZERO AP votes in the rankings last week, while every school in the big 12 (save Kansas) has received votes. It doesn't pay to have a tough OOC schedule. All the schools that play cupcakes and cruise to gimmie victories are ranked and lauded. The B1G plays tough OOC opponents and look at us.
Minnesota didn't get any AP votes, nor SHOULD THEY. They were a terrible, terrible team last year. They are merely a terrible team this year.
Have you watched any of their games? Actually, have you looked at any of the teams they have beaten? Christ, Northern Iowa would be undefeated against the teams Minnesota has played this year, and I can't imagine you would be bitching about that.
If you are attempting to fit Minnesota into the "B1G plays tough OOC opponents" theme and believe they are getting screwed, you are sadly, sadly mistaken.
It would be great to see Sparty and Brutus have a rivalry instead of being like a tag team that hates the Wolverines.
