Sullinger seems like a good guy.

His dad/HS coach had a quote during BTN's "The Journey" during OSU's game against Michigan about how Beilein's turning things around, but he just didn't want him to do it that night.

I honestly have to say I'm glad that someone from tOSU in the national spotlight seems to be a good-natured kid and not full of himself. TP should watch closely.

I always enjoy seeing a 'big deal' like Sullinger display the ability to laugh at himself.  Perspective is a rare quality these days.  Well done, Mrs. Sullinger.

I was listening to ESPN radio The Herd had tOSU coach Thad Matta on and he spoke so highly of Sullinger. One thing that stood out is how Sullinger's mom tells him she doesn't see him as the best freshman in the nation and "has a lot of work to do on his game."
<br>Glad to see a kid with what seem like great parents, who instilled values and some humility into a very talented young man.

Damn him for being so likeable. I truly hope he turns pro next year, so we don't have to deal with him anymore. He's obviously going to continue to improve over the next few years--a scary prospect for the rest of the Big Ten.

But I am really impressed with their Freshmen class. Their start bball players seem to be bizzaro their star football players. Buford, Lighty, Diebler, and the current freshmen have done nothing to lose my respect other than wear the scarlet and gray.

Lately craft has been getting a lot of praise in the media and it is much deserved. I live not far from him, and while following him have seen him handle himself very humbly. He is a very intelligent person both on and off the court. I would like to wish him the best as long as he isn't playing the maize and blue. I really don't think that team could run without him, Matta is lucky that among Sullinger's many talents, is his ability to help recruit his peers.

Maybe Bruce Pearl should call Sullinger for some tips.

Sullinger is the only freshmen in the country that I've been impressed with thus far - unlike last year when Kentucky had 3-4 impressive freshmen.

Although I will say that kid HBarnes is really turning it on for UNC - it's amazing.  He'll be a top 3 pick if he keeps this up.

Eh........

Let's see how he responds to something a lot more degrading before calling him a saint. Also, it's pretty easy to keep your cool when your team hasn't lost a game yet this year.

Even still, it's just as easy to get a big head and start thinking way too much of yourself.  See:  a certain 5 and 0 Michigan Quarterback circa 2009.  I have to give props to Sullinger... he seems like a real good egg who just got a little lost and wound up in Columbus somehow.

very true.  but the kid deserves credit for how he's handled the situation he's been given.  You can't criticize him for what he hasn't had to face yet.  With that said, he's had a relatively stress-free start to university.

Go ahead and wait "to call him a saint".

I'm just saying I like the kid, and his parents.

His dad had some classy (and unnecessary) comments to say about our coach, and our program.

I don't understand why some on here are so pissy about giving props to a player from an opposing team or rival doing somthing cool. It should be that way. There is nothing wrong in showing a little class to people who have done nothing wrong. To me, that's what should set a Michigan fan apart from a spartan or a buckeye fan.

If Bo and Woody can be friends, Izzo and Jonny B can repect one another why can't a Michigan fan think what Sullinger did was cool?

Personally, I think it was cool on both Sullinger and the Gopher fans part. That's what heckling should be. Not the "F you, you piece of sh--! I hope you die" garbage so many seem to think is acceptable. That's not in fun, that's just stupid. When at Michigan games I always help an opposing fan if they ask (and are respectful) and offer help sometimes like when they want pictures taken in front of Michigan Stadium. It's just sports.
