OT: Janoris Jenkins to North Alabama

Submitted by umjgheitma on

Janoris Jenkins accepts offer from Terry Bowden to play for the North Alabama Lions. I feel kind of bad for the kid, but you got to live with the consequences of your actions. Either he gets 10 INTs or 0 because no one will probably throw to him and I'm guessing the CB on the opposite side of the field is about 2 orders of magnitude lower in talent than the possible 1st rnd draft pick...

*EDIT* you know once I saw they were the Lions the misleading headline was necessary, lol. It's the offseason, we need a little spice to the MGoBoard

or swap out "the Lions" for "North Alabama" I could care less what the mascot is for North Alabama.  (Or delete this post altogether, I don't think it needs to be posted everytime a college player transfers to a DII school).

I was a little worried that the OP might be referring to the Detroit Lions...Of course, everyone knows that the "Lions" refers to North Alabama (a program much more closely related to Michigan than Detroit)!  This anti-North Alabama bias must stop on MgoBlog.  Maybe we can also start treating our fellow small, southern schools with the same respect deserved by N. Alabama.

I propose that from here on out:
-"Spartans" refers to Western Arkansas Community College (or any prison league team)
-"Tigers" only applies to South Carolina Truck Driving Academy
-"Red Wings" only applies to work boots
-"Pistons" be returned to its rightful place of Horace R. Piston Middle School in Moonshine, GA
