OT: Jameis Winston In Legal Trouble For Stealing Crab Legs

Submitted by Sports on

The headline says it all. "Jameis Winston Citation for Shoplifting Crab Legs at Publix."

This has to be one of the strangest offseason arrest notices we'll see.

EDIT: Original headline reported he had been arrested. Following a press release, it's been revealed that he was only issued a citation. Header changed to account for that.

Nonsense.  As evidenced by the McGary suspension, I fully expect the NCAA to come down hard on this violation of the law.  Breaking the law is breaking the law.  The NCAA is the model organization when it comes to consistency in application of rules.  I have full confidence.

Coach will call a private meeting with the store manager, tell him he wants him to get a group of about 15 store managers together and help with recruiting!

Some of the printable cracks from cbssports.com:

What Bering will this have on his future? We’ll sea.

Oh buoy.

He has already signed a promotional deal with Red Lobster.

What was going through his carapace?

Should have kept his eyestalk on the future.

What does Jameis like to smoke? Seaweed.

Free Seafood U.

Dr. Atkins needs to put this guy on a low crab diet.

The cops also checked the top of his car to see if there was a fiddler on the roof.

Graham Glasgow has joined the Michigan baseball team as a third baseman.  He will join the team for the remainder of the season, be suspended for the next three games, and rejoin the football team for week one against Appalachain State.
