He is one heck of a dancer!  Unfortunately for him, this year net Nazi says, "NO NETS FOR YOU!"I had not ssen this until today, searched the site and did not find reference.  Remove at will.  But, it made me laugh.  I would love to see some outtakes of the commercial where he goes off and screams at the camera guy.

1) Shows a human side of Izzo

2) Perfect for satirizing. I will be shocked if "Dancing Izzo" ("MSU's Dancing with the Scars"?) does not appear in various (inappropriate) places.

He looks absolutely geriatric in the commercial. Then you watch his post-Illinois presser. He starts hinting about the rape investigation being a distraction(As a coach who has worked so hard to keep this a secret...why bring it up at all?) They asked why Payne had been so lethargic and he was like "Why don't you go ask him?" Which...wow. Then when they asked him to elaborate he was all like "Don't mess with me right now" and he stares the guy down. I don't know why the guy didn't ask him "What are you going to do?" I mean Izzo is like 3 feet tall pushing retirement age. What is he going to do? He closes up with something like "It's going to be fun now, because I don't care about anything but my team now" which begs the question...What were his priorities before? It's a very interesting watch if you have the time.

become pretty borderline. That interview with Wojo in the DetNews the other day--talking about how he still had an NCAA championship squad two minutes before losing to Illinois--was a classic set-up job by Wojo, made him look very bad indeed. Yet today he just continues to jawbone about how great his squad is in both Detroit papers. Needs to be quiet and win a few games, because the sense of entitlement obviously doesn't belong to his players but to him. He runs the risk of becoming the butt of some pretty cruiel derision. . .

It had been a day or two since I had seen the presser(and I had a bit of trouble finding it) and so the talking points are out of order(The Payne question came first) but if you'll take the time to watch the video I promise you it's all there.

I think he overstates things, but I can see his take on it. I find your response, however, overly harsh. For a person whose handle recommends that others know themselves, I suggest you take a bit of your own advice and look at why you consistently bring a tone of condescension into conversations.

winning. Life was great for him when he had the state of Michigan locked up and there was a lot of talent flowing in. Now life is tougher and he isn't handling it well but I think that's his personality.

I could understand this being done in the past. It kind of deserves pity this year although if you listen to the Sparty fans, none of this has mattered yet. All that matters to MSU is National Championships so I'm sure they are a lock to win in all when they start playing.

The day he "whooped Oregon" no one in my house cared.  We only cared about how poor of a job he did while in A2.  If you can't see similarities between a self-proclaimed "Ironman" and a self-proclaimed "sheriff", I can't do much for you.  Welcome to the site though.

Huh?  Young fella, you can't choose what you hoped someone else might have said.

My "time for coaches" for leave Michigan in a good place is eternal.  My time for coaches who do a bad job, complain about everything, blame anyone but themselves, etc...that time is short.  It most certainly doesn't extend to rooting for them at a school who plays games at 10:30pm.

As for Hoke (who doesn't make himself the story...which is one reason I like him)...I'm not happy with his performance thus far but appreciate that he doesn't blame that on others.

Hey OP - my dad and brother were both Michigan Dentists (classes of 1950 & 1973 respectfully) and they both took Wednesday afternoons off.

Are you modern hipster Dentists now taking Tuesday afternoons too?

One reason and one reason only.  I would be absolutely horrible at dentistry.

My M Denistry roots go even deeper.  My sister is a Dental Hygentist, my Grandfather was a Michigan Dentist and two of my Uncles were Michigan Dentists.  After my Freshman year I wanted to be a lawyer and my dad pulled me aside and said he couldnt help me much in law but that if I wanted to be a Dentist we had a third generation dental practice in the Pontiac area and he told me how much money I could make and how much time I could take off if I wanted to.  This seemed like a much better plan to me than law so I took all "hard science" classes the first semester of my sophmore year.  After about 6 weeks I think I had something like a .08 GPA and I realized, sadly, that my skillsets were not suited to your line of work and hand to flip back to being a Poli-Sci major.

You know, the part of me that has helped do field safety training gets a little leery of people dancing at the top of a ladder, but then when the OP said "net Nazi", my first thought was Tom Crean rushing to the base of the ladder with some paranoid look and shouting, "THOSE ARE MY NETS AND YOU CAN'T HAVE THEM!"

So if he falls off the ladder, are we going to hear about his injury at their next post-game presser and how he was just "too injured" to work the refs hard enough to get some calls?
