rundown of Michigan's riser
OT- It's Saturday. I'm drinking. You're drinking. Open Thread.
Blank.....Blank......You're not looking at the big picture here.
Reading a book, with season 1 episode 4 of the walking dead in the background, sippin on a water.
Go Blue
But I'm catching up on Breaking Bad...logged in a solid 4 or 5 hours today. Putting back a few gin and tonics with the wife.
An eptiaph that I envy over all others......
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat - a great combination of Michigan and Boston - two of my favorite places.

blah. Call me a beer snob, but I've always hated the fruit-infused beers/stouts.
The more hops/alcohol, the better, IPAs or Trippels for me kthnksbye.
Yeah, I agree it is certainly over-done, and is taken to an absurd extreme in many offerings.
The cherry wheat is a timeless classic, and very crisp on a warm summer's evening, however.

Only fruit I want is the citra hops from new Zealand.....yumm!
Mom, MGrad and life long fan living in So Cal
I love me some Sam Adams.

3/4 bottle of Cava after homemade fetticune carbonara (more authentic w/ prosseco, but do not care).
2 bottles of Dogfish 90 minute IPA. Somewhat reasonable substitute for Hopslam. but damn do I miss Bells and Founders out here in the People's Republic of Maryland.
Will be hitting all you can drink brunch in DC at 1130. Mmmmmm sangria and Bloody Marys.
Sipping on Jim Beam and ginger ale. Just finished watching Candy Man, a movie that I have tried multiple times and (until tonight) was never able to finish. For whatever reason, whenever I tried to watch this movie, I would inevitably be interrupted, a trend that began when I was in middle school. Tonight, I am a man.
Vodka cranberry with chocolate covered pretzels. Bombed and it's only 930 here

which sucks, but I'm starting to watch The Office (I've seen a few episodes here and there, but never actually watched it).
Anyone have any good two person drinking games? "Start chugging when this cool line comes on in the song" is getting a bit stale.
Go Blue!
but sadly I don't have a table. Even if I wanted to jerry-rig something, my BAC prevents going to buy cups and balls.
There is a pretty cool two-person game called match that I played a lot last year. Basically you roll dice and flip cards until you have a card with same number as the die total. Once you have the card you have to be first to yell "match!", and the loser drinks. It's effective and fun, but it's a little stale from overplay.
Go Blue!
Cheap 6 pack of Molson, playing some F1 2011 and pretty bored on a saturday night.

soon to be followed by a couple old fashions of Maker's Mark on the rocks.
Mr. Hart! That is the most intelligent thing you've said all day. You may take your seat.
It just got real up in here...just tossed some MF Pizza Rolls in the oven.
Pizza Roll Update: They are as delicious as expected; especially the partially popped open ones.
My buddy ran out for a beer run earlier and came back with Magic Hat No. 9, pizza rolls, and heads or tails double stuffed oreos. After all of that was consumed, we took a drunked walk down a shady dirt road. Solid night if I do say so myself.
I can only continue to reference the fact that I live in an onion factory.
Wasted on some Tito's Vodka. It sounds awful but it's actually pretty good. Tomorrow is about to suck. Haha
and 18 month old twins. I'm drinking some Short's.
Started the night taking shots of Denaka citron... terrible right? Ended up chilling with Glenn Robinson III and Caris Levert at a friend's place. Interesting turn on an otherwise average night in Ann Arbor.
2014 Offer List BOYCOTT ADIDAS
Hardcore thinking about my future and attending UM with Project X soundtrack in the background. Throwing back Diet Pepsi's like I'm drinking.....Diet Pepsi.

we bought it and learned to play today. we just left royal oak to go play again.
A Prima Pils' delightful hoppy goodness. Then Port Brewing's Anniversary Ale which was complete hop annihilation. Now I'm recovering the pallet with Miller. A good night though.
My girlfriend of 4.5 years just broke up with me. We had our problems, but was incredibly unexpected. We'd talked about marriage and, a month ago, were happily finishing a summer getaway.
So tonight I'm not drinking but looking for places I can afford on a production assistant's salary in the LA area.
Sorry for the incredibly down post. Tonight's been the exact opposite of all the "Hello" posts I've ever read put together. I'm really unsure about my future and this is kind of a scream into the void.
Hang in there man. Everyday will be better and you'll never feel as bad as you do right now. It's tough but you'll be ok and just keep moving forward in life.
Thanks. Somehow that helps coming from someone outside my situation. I think it's because you're an argument against the world being against me, which I'm trying not to think.
Never been in that long of a relationship, but I would think it helps to hear people outside of the situation give some input. Sometimes you just have to move on and realize things weren't working out. Plenty of fish, etc. Being single isn't always that bad of a thing.
I can only continue to reference the fact that I live in an onion factory.
Thanks,
I don't know how much of this part happened to you but we sort of threw away or gifted much of my stuff for consolidation purposes when we moved in with each other. She's with family now so I feel like I'm in a sort of mausoleum of relationship past. It will help I think when I acquire things like a bed and a television that I can call my own.
I bet it helped having the bustle of grad school for you. I'm unfortunately not in such a community, but I used to be really into writing for the E3W and I came out here doing stand up so I'm hoping to pep talk myself back into that direction.
What was the timeline on yours fading?
Listen Brother.. That shit is awful. Been there. Bombshell phone call when i was on a sales call 1000 miles away. Its sad, confusing, maddening and downright lame. I had the ring and was gonna make my move that following weekend. Literally 6 mos to a year i was a mess. She had kids and they make it really bitter. Great advice above though, it does get easier. That was feb 7th 2009 and today i can say i do still think about her a cpl times a week but instead of hours on end its only a split second. Bottom line things will still remind you of her. make new memories in the same places you did with her. Hang with buddies. Drink ALOT! Do NOT try and fill that void with another long term thing. You will project all your "thIs is how we used to do it" bs on the new girl and thats not fair. Stay away from her, do not call her, there is nothing wrong with you so stop asking yourself why. Good luck, have fun, and remember "life is tough and it ain't for pussies" - dad
Its called a royale with cheese
I've been there, man. My five-year relationship ended my first year of graduate school. It sucks, and there's not really anything anyone can say. You're going to feel like Hell for awhile. Especially when you do/see things that remind you of her. It does eventually get better, and eventually you'll even be able to look back on this without feeling like there are shards of glass in your heart. Hang in there.
Denard has spent the offseason working really hard and smiling at people.
Grab a few hundred bucks and go have some fun. You're a man fergodsakes! Lol
[Caved troll is caved. Sorry, Mobile app users.]
that was given to me recently. Everyday, regardless of how awful you feel right now, make some sort of progression in your life. You will see/hear/feel things that bring back memories - do not let someone have that type of power over you. Go out, hangout with friends, make new friends. Experience your life, you own it.
Get your belongings and do not speak to her again. Don't find someone to fill the void, it never works. Finally, you're free. Go crush something.
Good Luck MGoBuddy

You know you're drunk when you post a Saturday drinking thread on Sunday.
