The place to go for those insomniacs/nightshift workers out there. To start it out, there's this:
Dude RLS sucks. It keeps me up more nights out of the week than not. But luckily, we have mgoblog to keep us entertained as our legs sit there twiching and jerking and KEEPING US AWAKE.
Well, if you talk to your Dr there are Rx drugs. If you find it worth it. Not sure if they work or not though.
I have RLS, too. I think the most annoying part is trying to explain it to people that have no idea what it is. The prescription does help. Some people are scared away when they hear that it is a, "drug for Parkinsons" and when they look at the side effects. The truth is that the side effects are very rare, especially when you take them in very miniscule doses like you do to treat RLS. Other things that you can try OTC are magnesium (yeah, like on the periodic table), and tonic water with quinine. I'm not a health food hippy, but Magnesium and quinine have been studied and shown to be relatively effective in treating RLS.
Side note, the best thing I did for RLS was to find my triggers. Start trying to figure out what you could have done to trigger a bad night. For me, I noticed caffeine was a big trigger. I'm too addicted to the stuff to cut it out completely, but I did notice a huge change in RLS symptoms when I avoided coffee after 12-2pm.
I have RLS also but didn't want to take the seizure meds that most Dr's prescribe. I've been taking a vitaman B12 and Vitaman D2000 every day and that seems to help. I also work midnights so that makes sleeping an even bigger problem for me.
I just just got back from a day shift, and I don't work until the night shift tomorrow, so I'll dance with ya, big guy.
haha. Nice find. That's a very underrated TD celebration. I'm surprised they don't plug it on sportscenter more.
I'm watching family guy and reading up on UM news.
Just kidding! it would be more like...
Its called Midnight Maize but I have already closed up shop. I will be back tomorrow at 12am.
I haven't seen you or your ms paint posts in awhile. Glad to have you back, shredder.
It's funny how GIFs are 3 second nuggets of universal humor. I wonder if they will be around in 20 years.
That dog is brilliant.
