OT: It's Hot

So I'm sitting here in 91 degree heat (no AC at work) just waiting for the day to end. So far I plan on enjoying one of these

When I get out of here in front of an air conditioner at home. What are some of your favorite ways to beat the heat?

(Board was a little quiet today save the Lloyd thread... thought I'd stir up some discussion for the last hour of the workday)

"Over? Did you say, over? Nothing is over until we decide it is!"

We're having football workouts and it's 100 degrees.  It's bad enough standing out there working with the kids - I'd hate to be actually, you know, running and lifting weights like they will be in about 56 minutes.

Our Design office is much hotter than engineering... they have the power computers and dual screens.

Not much I can do... I need the computer for work

Here's my argument: I'm a skiier, I can throw on layers until I'm warm at the top of a windy blizzarding mountain in Canada. But when it's hot, there's only so far you can go until the authorities get involved.

I raise you heat stroke.

And as for the breeze, that's kinda like saying the Sun can help in the winter, but not in the summer.  Though more fitting analogy might be the humidity.  Which I don't give a damn about in the winter.

And from someone calling themselves icefins, at that!

Haha -- icefins has different meaning behind it.  I'm a Parrothead, play hockey and also fish, so it has a combination.  Either way, I think everyone can agree that extremes in the heat and cold category suck but I would prefer heat over cold.

In Minnesota, they've figured out this genius idea of making underground heated parking garages.  No snow and 60 degrees in the winter!  Then when you get to work you're in another parking garage.  If you want to go out, downtown Minneapolis has skyways so you don't have to brave the elements.

I mean, coming from Michigan, I have to hand it to Minnesota, they've spent a ton of money to make sure I never experience the outdoors during wintertime.  With good reason: its in the single digets on a warm day.
