OT-ish: World Peace coming to Madison Square Garden

Submitted by BursleysFinest on

So apparently Ron Artest (I still feel weird calling him Metta World Peace) has changed his mind about playing in China and is going to sign with the New York Knicks:

With Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith re-signing, Artest signing, and even Iman Shumpert having a year of experience on him, it doesn't look like there will be too many wing minutes for Hardaway this year.   And none of those players seem like the mentoring type (obviously I have no real clue what these players are like).  Looks like we won't have a chance to really see Hardway's NBA game until 2014.

I love that Artest changed his name. Seeing headlines like "World Peace heads to New York" never gets old.

I think your assumption of those players not being the mentoring type might be one of the safest assumptions ever. Of course you could be wrong, but the odds are ever in your favor

Against ignorance, fear, famine, stupidity and greed, it doesn't have a chance. THJ will get his opportunity this year.

The Knicks or Nets better win a championship in the next 2 years or both of those teams will be a complete disaster after that.  They have old players with ridiculous contracts.  They will be awful in a few years.  I believe neither team has any draft picks for the next few years either.
