OT- Iphone Help

I know its the season and were all advised to keep OT threads to a minimum but I really need your help. Yesterday I was at a wedding and misplaced my Iphone. It was stolen or misplaced not sure cant really remember. I have my location services turned on. I called apple and att but all they keep tellin me is that I need that Mobile Me program installed. Well I dont have it installed. I know theres gotta be a way to track where my phone is. Can anyone give me some tips on how I can track my Iphone since att and Apple are stupid

Mobile me is what I use. I may be wrong, but I do believe you need that service in order to track your IPhone.

that you have the locating service and you've contacted the police to retrieve the phone unless the person in possession of the phone calls you and agrees to meet you and give back the phone.  Or call the phone and do the same.

...confidence is the stain they can't wipe off...

Doesn't the phone have to be on to use the location services?  So if it was merely "lost" and the battery is dead, would the OP be out of luck?

If the phone is on and you have your location base service button on under settings they can locate it within 60 feet.
Call at & t back and ask them to do the e911 thing they should find it for you if it's off your s.o.l

Also you may not know what I'm talking about but do you at & t navigator or Telenav track or Xora on your phone?

If you do they are location based service that can track your phone as well. But mobile me is the way to go if you get a new one it will save you money next time you lose it.

is exactly why I have a Mobile Me account- my wife misplaces or loses her iPhone several times/week.

If some one else has put their sim card in the phone and using it the phone can be tracked by AT&T but they wont give you that info with out the cops asking for it with a sepenia.  It can be found without moble me installed.  They just cant give you the info due to privacy issues.
