OT: Indiana State HS Rushing Record

Submitted by TSimpson77 on
The Indiana state high school rushing record was set this weekend by a kid at my former high school. Chase Vanschoyck of North Central (Sullivan Co.) had 511 yards on 33 carries with 7 touchdowns and only took part in 3 plays in the third quarter. Vanschoyck is a junior.

Must have been playing against South Central Louisiana State University. They just haven't been the same on defense since losing their star linebacker to graduation about 10 years ago.

The quarterback. Two receivers line up to the left, one to the right. There's a flanker lined up to the left behind the quarterback. He gives the ball-- no, he doesn't-- he doesn't get the ball. The receiver goes all the way over there to the left. Once the quarterback has the ball, he fakes to the left. No. He fakes to the right. He doesn't fake. He thinks about faking. He pretends to fake...

Very impressive, and congratulations to the kid for an average of 15.48 yards per carry. I also wonder what this would have looked like if he had been allowed to channel his inner Ron Dayne for the whole game, having accumulated about 8% of Dayne's career total in a single game.
