Ummmmm... YES PLEASE! That is just absurd.
The same exact thing happens everytime I play the Washington Generals too.
First time I saw his name, I thought he was in the Seventh grade.
No, but that was only two years ago. Which is ridiculous.
Love the tag line. The Departed never ever gets old. Ever.
That was a ridiculous video. Can't believe he's a freshman. Interested to see where this kid ends up
Probably UK like every one and done if Coach Cal doesn't get in trouble first?
What an awesome name. His parents must have consulted George Costanza on the name.
I was going to be incredibly upset if someone didn't make a Seinfeld reference before I saw this.
Thank you sir
Seventh is unreal. He continues to rise when he jumps. Great handle. Easily a future pro and probably the most deserving of the "next LeBron/Jordan" label out of all of the HS mixtapes I've seen.
Let's get him on campus. Does he play football too? ;)
Eh let's not get ahead of ourselves here, we have no idea how well he can shoot.
First time I saw his name I thought seventh woods was the name of the school
WOW. That is one hell of a mixtape for a HS freshman. Probably the most entertaining one I've seen since Andrew Wiggins, and Woods still has 3 years until he goes to college. Mindblowing.
Kid is ridiculous, has everything you'd want in a ball player. Obviously athletic, great handle so he can create his own shot, court vision you can't teach that lets him facilitate, heady defensive presence...man alive we very well could have the next coming of Lebron James if he keeps growing!
NCAA refs are gonna call him for that carry on his crossover. And all those clean blocks will probably be a foul too.
I lived in Columbia, SC for the last four years, and had heard this kid's name being mentioned when he was in 7th grade, but I never got to see him play. Wow! He actually seems like he could be better than the hype. Crazy to see what he's doing as a freshman. His school, Hammond, is a private school and plays against mostly private schools that aren't known for their athletics. He's gonna destroy kids when he's a junior and senior.
It'd be fun to get this kid to Michigan but I'll be satisfied with reeling in the number two player in that class Josh Jackson out of Detroit.
With the way Kentucky has been recruiting the top talent I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up there. Hope not but it wouldn't surprise me one bit
To be that athletic at that age should be illegal. Kid has serious game.
At that age is an understatement, he has dunk video from when he was 11. Kid is definitely a phenomenon
Lot tougher to be the next LeBron when you are 6'2". LeBron was 6'6" as a high school soph, so it woudn't be unheard of for Seventh to get there. Kid is just an incredible athelete, makes me feel inadequate barely being able to dunk at 6'6".
won't he go directly to NBA in all likelihood?
To my knowledge, basketball players can't jump directly from high school to the NBA anymore.
Eligibility is based on a player who graduated from HS for at least a year and is 19 years old. They changed that back in like 06 or 07.
Athletic enough to make the jump over the NBA's dumb rule
but if he turns out to be as ridiculous as it seems he will be, he could play overseas for a year and get paid as opposed to playing in the NCAA (see: Brandon Jennings)
But a kid like that probably doesn't need to bother with college ball. Graduate. Spend a year working out/protecting your ankles, go top 5.
Beilein. Get on that.
Great player, but the guy editing the video got carried away at times.
Speaking of carries..I wonder how many times that ridiculously high crossover gets called for a carry.
Let's not get too carried away with this kid yet. I'll be interested in seeing how he does next year against the Junior Varsity competition. If he is still doing this, then I'll be impressed.
Pretty sure he is playing at the varsity level, just an FYI
What happened to Woods 1-6?
This kid is clearly going to be great, but I wouldn't call him the next LeBron by any means. This mix actually reminds me a lot of John Wall's in HS.

Dude must have been averaging 50 points and a quadruple double in his middle school league last year
Street ball. Call me in a couple of years
"And why is he sending me money in birthday cards?"
"Shhhhh, Seventh, be quiet and give me the cash. And then send him a text that your price has gone up. Momma needs a new car and a vacation cruise."
MaxPreps delivers some of his stats for this past season at Woods' school here (LINK).
This confirms that he is listed on the varsity squad, and as a freshman on the varisty squad, he average 19.3 point per game, 4.3 assists per game, 3.5 rebounds per game and has scored 443 points on the season. His individual game stats are on the MaxPreps site.
As for the video, I have to wonder if the O/U on Division I offers will be at 90% of the division. That's incredible.
will be enormous, and the parasites who'd like to get attached to him are undoubtedly already licking their chops and counting their money.
Deadspin hit it right on the head, referring to "his eventual one-year Kentucky career."
Hmmmm... that MaxPreps link has him at 6'1. Probably not going to be the next Lebron. Now the next Derrick Rose...
Next time we see him he'll probably have shot up about six inches.
Reminds me of D Wade. He is a phenomenal athlete, although it is difficult to determine his skills in this video since it is mostly showcasing his athleticism. Also, tagging Seventh with comparisons such as Lebron James isn't the best thing for a 14 year old. Guys who are this highly touted can become too big-headed with everyone around them telling them they are the next big thing, think Michael Beasley, Kwame Brown. I'm not saying that will be the case with this kid, but he will need to stay focused to meet his max potential. I am more impressed by current HS senior Andrew Wiggins. I believe he is next in line. Lebron - Durant - Kyrie - Wiggins.
...but this "mixtape" reminds a lot of Brett Petway's junior/senior high school highlights. And Brett turned out to be an average at best college athlete. Granted, it didn't help that he was coached by Amaker.
He's got a lot of potential and a long way to go. I'll be curious to see what happens to him in the coming years.
Have you lost your mind? Pettway was one of the greatest athletes to wear a Michigan Uni. Now he didnt develop as a ballplayer thanks to Amaker, but his athleticism was off the charts
I think he meant that he was an average college basketball player and was not directly referring to his athleticism. Technically anybody that plays sports in college is a collegiate athlete. They don't necessarily have to be athletic. Take Craig Stadler for example - played golf at USC and was a collegiate athlete. But he was not athletic.
And all I can get my one year old son to do is say ball. He gone have to step his game up and fast!
