OT How can Mew be more powerful than Mewtwo?

Submitted by Frito Bandito on
Mewtwo is a clone of Mew and is supposed to be an advanced copy of Mew. However Mew can learn any attack in Pokemon red or blue making him much more valuable. Can anyone explain this?

I don't know anything about Pokemon, but based on your description, Mewtwo is like the little brother of Mew and everyone knows that little brother is never as good.

C'mon bruh..everyone knows that Mewtwo has way better stats than Mew.  Movepool be damned, Mewtwo is more powerful.  This is first grade stuff...

#Actually In Generation 1 pokemon can continue to accrue stat experience after level 100 thanks to the Box Trick.  There isn't any reason Mewtwo can't maximize its stats just like a low level Mew could.

Plus you have to exploit the game to get a Mew of any level, so there isn't any reason you couldn't use an exploit to get a low level Mewtwo.

Easy bro.

See, cloning is a funky game. Look at the history of cloning. Humans have cloned cattle, cats, fish, rodents . . . . but they never live as long or are as healthy. Why?

Most likely a number of options s but most likely due to telomere length of chromosomes combined with incomplete "resetting" of the somatic cells used to clone.

Basically, Mewtwo isn't as strong because of human (i.e. Molecular and cell biologist/geneticist) error in the cloning process.

The end.
