OT: House of Cards Season 2
Season 2 is so amazing I had to create a thread for this to share my enthusiasm.

Pretty damn good TV show
February 18th, 2014 at 9:45 PM ^
great season, can't wait for the next one already.

If you want your mind blown watch True Detective, then read articles about each episode after watching said episodes, go back and watch episodes again and have your mind blown even more. Crazy good show.

Right on Brown Bear. I'm with you
February 19th, 2014 at 12:07 PM ^
I watch and like both, but True Detectives to me is one for the ages.
February 18th, 2014 at 9:47 PM ^
I'm about halfway through, really good so far.
February 18th, 2014 at 9:54 PM ^
Kate Mara, not valuable. Holy shit.

Great season so far, as expected.
I am very impressed by Robin Wright 's(Claire) performance, and glad she got a Golden Globe last year. Also, while I'll root for Jon Hamm to get an Emmy, I will also be glad if Spacey gets one this year too.
Pretty weird format with Netflix releasing the whole season at once. I can't say I dislike it, but it's just weird as I like to read reviews after each episode I watch but I also want to avoid any type of spoilers (which is why I'll not read the rest of this thread just in case :) ). I'm curious how many people were done watching it by last Friday!?
February 18th, 2014 at 10:02 PM ^
I had it finished by Sunday.
February 18th, 2014 at 10:08 PM ^
I did read an Netflix article that said some user finished the whole season with only 3 minute break total lol.

and i LOVE having all the episodes posted at once to watch at my leisure and not have to wait......wish they could do it for True Detectives

I'm only 3 episodes into season 2 and am finding myself in that limbo of some shows where it hasn't gotten bad enough to dump out of it but I'm no longer all that intrigued any more either. I do want to "see what happens" but, that's about it. I think this feeling has something to do with plausibility going completely through the wood chipper. I know, for example, Breaking Bad stretched plausibility to its limits but it's hard to sell that a Walter White- or Dexter-style character could roam free in the White House. That's a little different than Albuquerque.
The Molly Parker as Jaqueline Sharp character could be compelling no?
And, as always, no spoilers please.

I liked this show until Frank murdered the VP candiate. At that point it just became too absurd to enjoy.
February 18th, 2014 at 10:38 PM ^
He murdered a congressman that no one even knew of outside Pennsylvania. This argument is insane. Our government gets away with crazier things everyday and no one ever hears a damn thing. Yet some guy can't get murdered yeah okay.
February 18th, 2014 at 11:07 PM ^
He murdered a candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania not VP. You probably should not be publicly sharing your opinion of the show if you do not understand what you're watching

Average to above average. Not spectacular
February 18th, 2014 at 11:38 PM ^
Yup. And exactly what I expect from Frank. Don't get me wrong, it's entertaining. I think the acting of the leads is great. They just get their ways far too easily for my liking. And didn't anyone expect for the end of season 2 to be any different?

It's sad Kate Mara died but at least we got to see that sweet booty one last time.
February 18th, 2014 at 11:39 PM ^
Not hers. Double

Francis gif above... I thought the same thing

Love this series, finished it in three days. It's very refreshing to see a series that has a defined beginning, middle, and end, in contrast to some of the other shows I've "enjoyed" that have aimlessly meandered for a few seasons and then hastily been forced to wrap up (looking at you, Lost, House, How I Met Your Mother, Dexter).
February 18th, 2014 at 10:59 PM ^
Very good. It kept me coming back, I binged the whole thing in two days, but it wasn't quite as good as the first season just because there was very little suspense. A couple storylines either should have been removed or followed up on a bit more. Most of all, though, it just didn't feel like anyone was even being set up to have the ability to challenge Francis.

Just finished tonight! Compelling, even if a bit predictable.....
Some of the best acting I've seen on a TV show!
February 19th, 2014 at 12:00 AM ^
Good stuff. Love the acting and the story. Looking forward to next season already!

Watched it all in three days. It was really awesome. Already excited for next season. I did start to have some weird dreams though.
February 19th, 2014 at 1:16 AM ^
Finished on Sunday, There's nothing I don't love about this show.
February 19th, 2014 at 5:56 AM ^
all day saturday and finished it? Solid season. Some odd things happened, poor meechum, awkward! It was a satisfying season though. Great show.
February 19th, 2014 at 6:57 AM ^
But my head is still exploded. I don't think I can wait a year for season 3
February 19th, 2014 at 10:39 AM ^
Only halfway through season two, but it's problems are even more evident. Underwood is way too godlike, and the fact everything goes his way 100 percent of the time is grating. This, along with some mundane plots and the fact every character stays the same keeps it from being great. Still awesome at parts but overall it's not my favorite. I started The Shield instead of finishing season 2, and that show has been kick ass.

You gave up to soon. The second half gets better.
February 19th, 2014 at 2:18 PM ^
I might have to pick it up again. I do want to see what happens, since Ive invested some time in the show.

Ill be tuning in
