...they arguably have the best point guard they have ever had (CP3), best center they have ever had (Deandre Jordan), biggest superstar (Blake Griffin), best 6th man (Crawford), and best Coach (Doc)...and they are probably going to lose in the first round to the Spurs. They need to rebrand already and move to Seatle. Lakers have their worst record of all time and their TV ratings still are more than double that of the Clippers.

These are awful, but the Clippers do need a makeover.  Their logo is virtually identical to that of the Lakers, just in different colors.  Their road jerseys are the same as the old-school Lakers jerseys (with script Los Angeles), just in different colors.

If you look like the discount Lakers playing in the same arena, no amount of short-term success is going to change perception.  Probably should have moved to Anaheim when Staples Center was being built.

Per Paul Lukas at UniWatch, which is probably the best authority on these thing out there if that means anything, these have been vetted and this or something similar to it may very well happen. (LINK).

Behind the link, you can see the descriptions of the uniforms in all their brand management glory, with gems like :

"Using the colloquial LA will resonate in a profound way with the younger demographic".
