OT: Hilliman to Rutgers
Many of you may remember 3* RB Jonathan Hilliman who showed some interest in Michigan a few months back. He commited to Rutgers today over the only other real contender, Ohio State. His offer sheet (Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, etc) suggests he is better than a 3*, and I thank Rutgers for taking talent away from Ohio State. Here is the article and here is his 247 profile.

I like this. Good pick-up for Rutgers. Only good for the B1G if Rutgers can take their program up one more level.

OSU really cooled on him especially once the Curtis Samuel rumors began to swirl.

Last weekend they also landed WR Saed Blacknall who everyone was expecting to land at LSU for the last few months. They have two more matchups that are down to them and OSU coming up. They are NY WR Curtis Samuel and NJ WR Noah Brown. Curtis is announcing in the next week or two and OSU leads. If that happens then I expect Brown to go to Rutgers. If Samuel picks Rutgers then Brown probably goes to OSU.

I was always a fan of Hilliman's game and wanted him in the class. Good pick up for Rutgers regardless, thought of him at least as a 4 star level back.

Word on the street is that Curtis Samuel will being committing to Ohio and it could as soon as tomorrow, he's more of a Dontre Wilson type, but nonetheless a pretty darn good consolation prize.

That offer sheet sure seems better than a 3*. As always, I'm a fan of the conference doing well in addition to UM, so good to see a decent kid stay in the region. The funny thing is that for all the bitching about Rutgers joining the conference they'll probably have a consistent top-4 recruiting class in this conference when it is all said and done.

I would be thrilled if Rutgers is constantly bowl elligible and frequently winning 9 games or so in a season, while racking up a bowl victory. I do not, however, want them to pick up a commitment from Minkah Fitzpatrick or beat UM on the field.....like ever.

Good pick up for Rutgers. My guess is that he'll switch to an SEC school.

Sadly not OT as we will be playing them every year for the forseeable future

as in Sad Panda sad? Where's Brian? We need an MGoOfficial ruling here. Bring out the sticks.

Compared to the rest of the B10, Rutgers is actually holding their own on the recruiting trail. Not even just due to their large number of commits.

for a second about why I should care about a commit to Rutgers.
face palm, on so many levels.

But in all seriousness, best of luck to him. Glad he's staying in the B1G. This conference needs all the talented players it can get.
As long as they don't go to OSU.
