OT: Hello from the Future

Submitted by the bee train on

I apologize for how late this is but I just reached the magic 100 point mark so this is my first post. My wife and I were lucky enough to adopt our first child about 1.5 years ago and I wanted to share a couple of pictures. These were taken before he was 1 and now he's 2, but I managed to score another Denard jersey that fits.

If any of you have any from 4T on up I'd be interested in taking them off your hands as he'll need something for the upcoming season and they are tough to come by now that Mr. Robinson is a Jaguar. Of course, he may eventually just wear this one:

Here's an updated pic for you soccer fans (GO SWANSEA!!!!!)

Happy Monday and Go Blue!

4T and up? It's been a while since my kids were in that size and I don't know how much of the bins that we did have were given away. I do know that they contained a copious amount of Michigan gear for kids, so I will actually look when I get home and report back if there's anything that might be of use. Hopefully, my wife was not as thorough in the last round of "Operation: It's My Basement Too, Damnit", but I will look.

Very cute kid though. Congratulations!

It must be like looking in a mirror for Denard. Although I just noticed the non-authorized color palette on your little one. Expect a cease and desist order forthwith.

Also, congrats!

and all that, but can we get some vitals on the lad?  what's his 40, his vertical, can he throw the long out pattern, carry the puck into the zone on the power play, etc?   mgobloggers got to know!

I was trying to steer him towards basketball as there is much less risk of injury and he could potentially enjoy all the crazy subs he can eat, but unfortunately all he seems interested in doing on his Little Tikes hoop is dunking, so he's either going to be the next Brent Petway or he'll need to choose another sport. He seems like he might be a lefty, so if he can hit 80 with a little movement he might have a future as a LOOGY.

but from the looks of him he seems more contact sport-guy to me.    but hey, if he's got hops and likes to jam, there is a place in ann arbor that they play that game in a house called crisler, so there you have it.

but hockey, football, and wrestling are great boy sports and are so much fun to coach and watch.

My wife and were called Jan 24 this year, being told we had been chosen by a birth mother.   Our son was born Feb 6, we celebrated four month pics last Friday.  We have three more in home observations with our social worker and a court date sometime October-December ish?   Brought him home from the hospital in a Go Blue outfit!  We love him so much and are excited to be Caleb's parents!  I look at your pics and imagine the joy you and your family must be feeling as we are obviously experiencing many of those same emotions!  Congrats and Go Blue!

Well I searched how to post pics and clicked on the link from BlazeFire to ImageShack.  I thought I signed up correctly but I did not get a email confirmation.  So I will have to try and figure out how to post pics of my guy another time!

and a happy anniversary as well! Nothing quite like that phone call. I remember stressing about finalizing the court stuff and the home visits but they really do fly by. Congrats and Go Blue to you as well! As for the pics, not sure if you are on Google + but my phone automatically backs up to my account there. I began to make a folder so that the pictures would enlarge, then copied the location and used that for this post. Regardless of how you do it I'm looking forward to seeing pics of Caleb in the future.

and God, Caleb is the best thing to have ever happened to me!  I get to spend the rest of my life lovin it!  Thank you for your encouragement about the final court date and home visits.  We are super excited and very blessed to have had such a great experience through Bethany Christian!  Our social worker is so awesome in that she makes us feel so comfortable and helps take away any anxiety we might have.  We do not really stress about it because Caleb feels like he came from us!  We have never had any moments where we did not think he was not ours because of bloodlines!  The whole experience has truly been amazing!   My wife and I were playing with him this morning before coming to school for the last day of the school year and he was giggling and talking baby sounds!  Hard to leave that cuteness!  Proud pappa here and ready to enjoy my first Daddy's Day!

Also wondering if you could maybe give me a play by play as to how to sign up for and utilize Google +?  How to back it up to my account?  I have the iPhone 4s and have been backing my pics up to the google drive.  I was wondering if that would back up to this account?  Anyway
