Great article on the former UM QB and now Stanford coach. It basically talks about how competitive he is and has always been. Good stuff.

You're everywhere on the blog, Busey. Geez.
I've been told by doctors and surgeons that I have the energy of ten men with normal jobs.
Drinking your own blood is the paradigm of recycling.
There is no way that you are coming up with these things on your own.
It was something that was delivered to me to say to you because that is not the way I talk.

Can we stop with all the JH threads, lets only talk about Coaches who Coach for Michigan..that would be RR..K thanks..
I have a lot of energy, intensity, and must-win attitude and I went to Michigan. Does that mean that someone can start a thread about me on the Board and it not be negged into Bolivian?
Disgruntled former moderator. I got a lot of problems with you people!
He's a good coach. That said, RR is still my personal favorite, and I intend to root for his team even if it isn't Michigan.
Abort, Retry, Fail?
I like RR and will cheer him on as well (at UM or somewhere else), but I just thought this was a good article on a Michigan Man and a guy who some think may be our next coach at some point.
Liking RR and liking JH are not mutually exclusive. I think that RR is a good coach. I think that JH is a good coach. I would be happy with either of these men coaching my team.
And, since JH has been mentioned by many as a possible replacement in the event of RR being asked to leave, I am always happy to read about him (or Hoke, or anyone else who has even a small chance of pacing the sidelines).
And I don't understand why people feel the need to go on character assassination bingeing when Harbaugh's name comes up (or anyone else's for that matter).
Harbaugh is a pure D winner. Rodriguez, so far at michigan, is a pure D flop.
I will too. Love me some RR.
"A Michigan man will coach Michigan."
Personally, any coach who plans to coach with character and cruelty is #1 on my list.
I will indeed root for RR in the event he and Michigan part ways, but to be perfectly clear that love is secondary to, and derivative of, my love for Michigan.
Missing Ann Arbor
What's not pragmatic about saying "I enjoy this coach and will cheer for his new team if he happens to be railroaded by the team of my choice"?
At least some aspect of my fandom is liberated of laundry, my affinity for a particular place, or for my education and has something to do with other things both on and off the field. I enjoy football and I enjoy certain styles of football (e.g. RR's offense) more than others. I just plain like Rich Rodriguez and certainly some part of me sympathizes with him as I do with other sports figures who are unfairly maligned by people with their own agendas (and their useful idiots). I hate useful idiots, personally, and when an entire movement (i.e. the one to replace RR) is so propelled by stupid people, it's hard for me to appreciate the aspects of that movement that may be un-stupid (or to even locate them in the fog). That's why it's "personal" for me. HTH.
I know who watched F&L in Las Vegas tonight.
"Kill you?! I just wanted to carve a little Z in your forehead."
Ask the girl he drilled in the back as a Little League baseball pitcher.
Turns out it was just that; a story about Harbaugh playing baseball as a kid.
He's only 10 or 11, he drills a chick in the backdoor, and then her mom comes running out for some.
Wow
That drive is what made AMUUUUUUURICA great. Remember that the next time you're running your liberal mouth and enjoying your freedom.
Abort, Retry, Fail?
The sad part about all this CC stuff the last month is my first reaction to seeing Harbaugh in the title was "ugh." Forget he still is one of the great Michigan quarterbacks. Glad to see what he's done with his coaching career, even if I'd prefer he not continue it here next year. He's the hottest coaching commodity out there right now--NFL and college--and a lot of that is attributed to his time at this great university. That's a good thing no matter which side of the debate you're on.
A guy like Harbaugh is only popular because he's very good at what he does. If he wasn't, everybody would loathe him because he's an obnoxious dickweed jerk on a personal level.
Like most other very successful Type A people, in other words.
Wow. I hope to God you have personal experience with the guy.
Would JH be the David Simms of college football?.... you know.....dogs, kids, and old people.

Endeavor to persevere...
Yes I know hi-jinx (high jinks) is not a word, but it looks good.
Tell me you wouldnt want JH to knock Dantonio on his ass?
Just a win would suffice. JH wakes up in the morning and pisses excellence and RR wakes up in the morning and gets shit on by the local paper. Doesn't seem fair.
I agree. He seems similar to Bret Bielma except we like him because he is a "Michigan Man." That's how it works, we will protect our own. If he went to school anywhere else, we would have a thread here and there about how big of a dick move this or that was. having said all of that, if we have to get rid of RR I want him to coach here because I don't really care if we are pulling dick moves. At this point, I just want to win and not get into trouble.
One night at the hospital, I was sitting in bed...and saw the Grim Reaper standing in the corner. He was seven feet tall, with a brown robe. He pointed to me and said, 'Relax, it's not your time to go. You have been given gifts. These gifts are ready to be received by mankind. So get on your feet and improve.' Then he laughed, spun his scythe and left. I wasn't asleep and I hadn't been for days. Whether this was a premonition or an angel in disguise, I don't know.

This is an actual Busey quote about his recovery from a motorcycle accident. As I used to do when checking student papers for plagerism, I simply googled the quote. Lo and behold.....
