O.T. Happy Flag Day
so there's that.
maybe for flag day we could get a different, respectful and/or inspiring gif, not the stupid silly gif?
Silly maybe, but not stupid.
Eye of the beholder and all...
Truly inspirational, GOH.
But it can never compare with WD's raging Harboner.
last year on flag day. My one non-negotiable wedding item was ordering fortune cookies with these inside.

Happy Birthday! Hopefully you have your "Dreamweaver" by your side.
Well, it isn't an official federal holiday, of course - it wasn't even established as an official "day" at all, I believe, until Woodrow Wilson established it by proclamation in the 1910s (it was solidified by Congress during the Truman years). It marks the day in 1777 that the flag was officially adopted by the Second Continental Congress.
Sheldon Cooper is that you?

John Adams forwarded the motion, which was subesequently passed by the 2nd Continental Congress, to establish the Continental Army. Thereafter the US Army has celebrated June 14th as the anniversary of its founding.
It's also the U.S. Army's birthday today.
