OT: Happy Easter/Eating and Drinking Thread

Submitted by Gallagher on

Happy Easter!

We've got a nice beef tenderloin in the oven for later tonight, and I've been saving the first Oberon of the season for today.

What are your big Easter plans?

Edit: I'm gonna posbang you all because it's Easter. Have a good one with family and friends!

I am eating Kit Kats like they are being discontinued. They must put heroin in them bc I can't stop eating them. I have but down 40 mini's in 24 hours, with no ending in sight. Save me from myself.

His wife doesn't cook, she heats stuff up. It'll be spiral ham, store bought potatoes au gratin, and a couple of reheated sides. Awful stuff. At least I'm bringing some decent wine.

I just came back from my in-laws - we actually mixed it up a bit with pulled pork sandwiches, beans and potato salad, followed with a choice of cheesecake or homemade Watergate salad (yes, this is a real thing). We ate as the kids hunted for eggs, some of which we're pretty sure are still in their yard since even the people tasked with hiding them don't remember where they are. That's something for the edger or mower to discover in July, I suppose.

Beef tenderloin with port wine reduction sauce, ham, Cornish game hens with a Waldorf salad, asparagus, sautéed mushrooms, salt potatoes, rolls, and appetizers consisting of shrimp cocktail, assorted olives, sun dried tomatoes, and assorted cheeses. A little port wine, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay.

I ate way too much today. Ham, cheese potatoes, carrot cake etc. The CEO Stouts that I'm now drinking are just adding to the fullness, but it's worth it right now. Watching the Wings until the Cubs and Cards/Baseball Tonight starts. Happy Easter everyone!

in your Easter basket or outdoors while doing your easter egg hunt?

You should have looked in the garage..., that is, Joe's Garage.   Here's the best ear candy anywhere for your enjoyment:
