Anything 100 percent?
Penny Beers Night, any coin gets you 12oz of Ice House!
Hangover Tip: Don't be so old, it'll get you everytime!
Goody's ... best thing to take. It's got an awful taste, but take it down with some OJ. That and/or Hair of the dog (e.g. drinking some more beer, perhaps with OJ.)
I wake up the ugly fat chick I took home and ask for Alka-Seltzer.
Water the night before. Lots of water.
(might be to late)
32 oz. of water (if you can keep it down) and 2 Motrin or Extra Strength Tylenol before you fall asleep or pass out. Worked pretty well for me.
You never feel "100%" the next day, but after a weekend bender, anything is better than waking up and feeling like you owe money.
Yep, Ibuprofen is much better for you, especially the night of drinking.
I also like to take a one-a-day vitamin before going to sleep. Helps replenish all those nutrients that you've pissed out during the night.
Mixing alcohol with alcohol can cause liver damage.
The active ingredient in Tylenol, NyQuil, etc. is the leading cause of liver failure in the US. Not alcohol. Just sayin'
That's why I listed Motrin first, and I switched to it years ago. Back in the day, It was Tylenol or aspirin as the main choices. Ibuprofen wasn't as common.
Drink water until you can't drink more water. Then drink more water.
Caution: it may make you vomit. Again.
or make you wet the bed
on your girlfriend's shoe collection.
But that's a story for another time.
Do tell. We have time.
He was really drunk,
He Pissed on his girlfriend's shoes,
She was not happy.
As a married man who has stared at his wife's ridiculous collection of shoes and wondered if he could piss on them and blame the puppy, I wanted to know the consequences.
I need the "cost" side of the cost/benefit equation, and experimental data in this area is (unsurprisingly) sparse.
My girl has the patience of Job, which is a necessity when dating me. We went to bed one night and she, being a very light sleeper, heard splashing noises coming from her closet area. ... A little while later she goes to investigate, and it didn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure out what happened.
Denying it was futile.
Her: Scott, wake up, you effin peed in the closet!
Me: [confused look]
Her: You PEED on my SHOES!
Her: Well do you think I did it?!
Well, turns out she didn't. ...
The cost side? Depends on how many shoes there are. Because you will be replacing them, even if its a pair of bullshit T.J. Maxx flats she bought 17 years ago and never wears.
You will be replacing those with Manolo Blahniks.
Leave it to "AA" wolve to suggest hair of the dog.
3 raw eggs blended with Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, milk and the tears of a dodo.
Or lots and lots of Gatorade.
just reading that makes me sick
When you get home have some powdered Gatorade on hand. Put two or three gatorade's worth of powder in one gatorade and down it. More bang for your buck. Although you may vomit red, orange, or blue soon after.
Eat a meal that includes fruit before you go out. Pineapple works pretty well. Buy some B12 vitamins and take one before you go out. Drink. Go home, take another B12 vitamin and drink a lot of powerade/gatorade/water before you pass out. Pass out. Wake up and feel much better than you would have if you had not followed these steps. Yes, it's a semi-complicated process but if you want to be productive the next day it's necessary.
Down a 32oz. Powerade and take 2 Excedrin Migraine, should at least help, I don't think anything is 100%.
Um...yeah, that and the fact that alcohol is a toxin (more specifically, it has several toxins and its metabolism creates more toxins).
Hydration definitely helps, but dehydration is by no means the only cause of hangover.
On a side note, I finally quit smoking in the last month (after about 13 years of going through a pack-a-day), and my hangovers feel much less severe.
Take a multivitamin with lots of water before bed. If you take enough water with it, you'll feel great the next day.
My gf learned the science behind it in one of her bio classes at Mich (so it's gotta be true, right?).
That makes sense considering that much of a hangover is you pissing out your nutrients the night before. I suppose if you replaced them right before bed that would help.
I don't drink anywhere near like I did in college, but I know of more then a few people who have attempted the "drink a shitload before bed" approach. More times then I feel comfortable with, people ended up wetting the bed due to their blacked out state and inability to get up and empty the tanks. This is very much a fear of mine.
McDonalds, Wendy's, something that will make you happy.
In the morning helped soak up whatever was making me want to cough up a lung. Someone else already mentioned electrolytes: Powerade, Gatorade, Vitamin Water. Any will work.
Alka-Seltzer Morning Relief
Drink this, then pound a Powerade.
If you have things to do: Adderall.
If not:Go back to bed.
Liver and onions, sprinkled with limburger crumbles and dipped in horseradish.
I talked to a Navy Corpsman once who said that when they were in training, they would go out and get drunk all the time, then wake up and put in an I-V and take some B-12. Apparently the hangover just disappears, though I'd imagine you don't have regular access to an I-V.
If that doesn't work, try Gatorade. Lots of Gatorade. Or water.
Greasy foods before going to bed, pure oxygen, B-vitamins, lots of water before bed/hangover starts.
Blimpie Burger and a bowl.
Touche. If bad enough, multiple bowls.
diag pizza calzone and bowls is right up there as well.
Back in my U of M days (~10 yrs ago) it was a greasy meal (usually Big Market Gyro, meaty hippie hash from Fleetwood, or pastor taco salad from Sabor Latino), bowl, and movies on the couch all afternoon. We'd still be hurting all day, but this regimen made the pain more tolerable.
I would go bowl then Blimpie Burger to optimize enjoyment.
Easy-Mac with crushed up cheez-its in it...also works great as a drunk food
Active prevention before you start drinking is as if not more valuable than what you do when you are done drinking. At least from my experience that seems to be the case. Have a full stomach when you go out.
