OT - Halloween Costumes

Submitted by white_pony_rocks on

I'm having a hell of a time finding all the pieces of my costume.  I want to go as either Brodie from Mallrats or Artie from The Adventures of Pete and Pete, but the shirts are what I'm geting stuck on.  Interesting fact about Brodie's shirt, its a mash up of the 3 guys who auditioned for the part of Brodie and didn't get it, just found that out tonight.  They actually sold the shirt too, but I can only find it in 3XL, I need a L.  I've already found the jacket, jeans, shoes, and dixie cup.  Then I can discuss why Lois Lane could never have Superman's kid all night (he would blow his load like a shotgun through her back).  Can't find the perfect Artie shirt either.  Any other ideas for cool 90s movie or tv characters?

33 and I know them both well.

Best guess is too young. I may have been too young for mallrats when I first saw it but I feel like you should have seen it when the other Kevin Smith* movies came out.

Pete and Pete was early-mid 90s TV for kids which seems like should have been right in your wheelhouse. Did you not have cable? It was a Nickelodeon show.

(ninja edit cause Kevin James is a comedian not the director)

in case anyone wants to come by and put some real blood on your spooky costume.  you'll be able to film a 'friday the 13th' sequel at our place before the day is done....

barn cat.   i am most definitely not a 'cat' guy, but i dig our barn cat, leo.  he has and will never be in our house, but instead is given free reign over the farm and usually hangs out in the barn at night on the most bitter cold of evenings.  he is hell on wheels.  we have no rodent problem.  drags caracasses for review on a regular basis, not scared of possum or skunks, and best of all, will come when i call him.  if all cats were like leo, i'd have to re-think the cat thing.
