OT: GVSU Sports Blog?

Submitted by HartAttack20 on

I'll be starting college at GVSU in the fall, and I was wondering if any MGoBloggers were fans and knew of a good/existent GVSU sports blog. I was looking to get caught up on some GVSU sports, but I may have to rely on local newspapers. A google search came up with nothing, so a blog may not exist, but I figured I'd see if anybody knew.

But there's got to be SOMETHING out there. GVSU is too good to not have an internet following someplace. They're ripping D2 to shreds, and should frankly be moving up to 1AA.

Most of the people who post about D2 football do so either on mlive forums or the D2football.com forums. About half of the people who post seem to be GVSU fans, and the other half are fans from other schools in the GLIAC.

They have won or made extended tourney runs in football, womens soccer, baseball, mens basketball, womens basketball, volleyball, track, cross country, womens golf, and softball as well as club championships in water polo and wrestling. They've won the Directors cup the last six years, given to the top athletic program in each NCAA Division. They're pretty good.

I graduated from Grand Valley and was never aware of any sort of blog. The truth is 99% of students don't care about anything except football and they still leave games at halftime (even if it's a close). There's a scout site that is rarely updated so I've stopped following it, though the premium board might be a decent source. If you have any specific questions I would be glad to offer some answers since I have quite a bit of experience with GVSU Athletics.

And just to get it out of the way, they have no interest in going D1.

I actually go to GVSU and im not sure if there is any sports blog for them.  I think most of the student s only care about football because the team plays for the national title all the time so they can tell people their  school runs division II. gives them some sort of school pride. I do know the girls soccer teams won the national title this year which is pretty cool. If you get a chance take a class with Damon Arnold. He is the shit.
