OT: Guy Carbonneau, U of M connection?
I'm watching a Classic NHL recap of the 1993 Cup Finals between the Canadiens and Kings, and in Game 3, in a tie game with about 15 seconds left, Guy Carbonneau had a puck frozen under him in the crease. Because of the controversial no call (should have been a penalty shot) they showed his post game interview, and he was wearing a Michigan cap after the game. I'm assuming that he was wearing it because the Block M simply looks good, but does anyone know of some random connection that he had with Michigan?
I have never heard of a connection between Guy and UofM. I paid little attention to him till he joined the Stars. LOVED the way he played hockey.
