He's going to the BTN, to tell us about Rotel.

From CNNSI:

Industry sources said Johnson has spoken with Fox Sports about a role in its college football coverage. Fox Sports (which has a 49 percent ownership share in the Big Ten Network) recently upped its inventory of college football as part of the 12-year, $3 billion contract between the Pac-10 (soon to be the Pac-12) and ESPN and Fox. The two networks will carry a combined 44 regular-season football games on ESPN and Fox broadcast or national cable networks, along with 68 men's basketball games. They will alternate televising the Pac-12 football championship game and the men's basketball tournament.

Because you've seen me do it twice.

Of course the first time, I really had no idea it would be such a provocation.  I honestly didn't know the guy had such a fan base.  This time, it's just an old joke.  Ya had ta be there.  As you were.

That just gives me goosebumps. This and "Down goes Frazier!", "The Giants win the pennant!" are definitely my top three greatest sportscasting moments.

YES!

Also, "It's up for grabs now!" is underrated just because nobody knows it in America. This was in extra time to WIN THE LEAGUE for Arsenal atAnfield in 1989. Remember this is the league where they just add up points, there's no luck in the playoffs in soccer (except for the cups, of course)

Can't CBS/FOX work out some kind of special March Madness clause? Please.

Gus makes the tournament an extra 1000 degrees of awesome.

Although, as somebody mentioned above, if he calls a Michigan-Ohio Big 10 Championship game, well, I'm down with that idea.

My Sox got shalacked 11-0 today, but this is definitely worse sports news. Get Gus signed up for something. Is he no longer doing MMA for Strikeforce anymore as well?

On the BS Report I remember him mentioning that he was looking to cut back and do mostly BTN because he wants to spend more time with his little boy. FWIW.

Johnson has just signed a lucrative deal with CBS to broadcast the Masters.  Never before have we heard a play-by-play man screaming the action through Amen Corner and all the way down the 18th Fairway.
