OT - Gratiot Cruise
Today was the Gratiot cruise and I have never seen a car related thread on here, so I figured I would make one. Anybody go? If not, anybody have a car they want to share? I didn't get to go because my throwout bearing took a crap on me yesterday.
Here is my baby.
P.S. ~ If you are thread snob and want to complain, keep it to yourself.
thats a beautiful automobile. love the color
I bet my Huffy would toast that hunk of junk off the line.
Huffy please!
0-60 in 2.9 and 1/4 mile in 10.7...if my tire pressure is right and I've eaten my Wheaties (numbers are WITH baseball cards in the spokes)
I did not go this year, but my father and I have gone in years past. Among the cars that sit idly in the family collection would be an Oldsmobile 442, which we would traditionally park somewhere in the Gratiot and Toepfer area before the cruise itself. We will more than likely be at the one on Fort Street in the downriver communities later this month though, and I will be driving the Oldsmobile.
Love the Mustang, incidentally.
Mods. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
Nice car:)
That thing is wicked looking. I'm not usually one for black on black (on black, on black) and the like but that looks pretty bangin', wow! Question from an ignoramace, what are those "loops" at the front of the hood?
They are hood pins to keep the hood from flying open at high speeds.
Thanks; assumed it was that simple and along those lines.
(As if it gets up to speeds high enough for that to be an issue...Kidding!)
'68 Shelby GT 500 and a '63 Impala 409 4-speed. We usually have a few good nights over the summer.
please.
Its about 450hp. I have never taken it to the track so i don't have any times on it.
Its hypothetical then. Unless its been on the dyno?
Eww Mustang. Just joking. I am not a Ford guy but your car looks very nice. I don't normally like black rims on black cars but it looks sick on your car.
Nice ride man.
Seeing yours makes me miss my 05.
Had I known it was today I would've came by.
My photo didn't come through.....
When I followed the URL, Google asked me to log in.
Maybe another issue, though--I don't use Google+.
is also this weekend. My father had his '69 Camaro SS over there on display yesterday. I always find Motor Muster interesting, because they cover a lot more ground than most of the cruises -- they have much more than just the huge fin and muscle car eras. A lot of pre-WW2 cars and wartime (small-J) jeeps are on display every year.
Pumps me up for UM athletics!!!
