I seriously hate any article on the internet that makes me click multiple times to read the entire thing, and in this case - I refused to do so.  GQ, SI, and the like - go F yourself.  This is the one thing that ESPN hasn't fucked up yet.

I actually agree with the article that Wiscy should be ahead of tOSU.

While I have never been to a game in Madison or C-Bus, the last two Wiscy games i have been to (2010 and 2006) have been filled with Wiscy assholes.  They have a false sense of entitlement.  At least tOSU wins some games.

Maybe because I live in Minnesota, but I completely agree.

Wiscy fans are easily the worst in the big ten.  10 years of relative success have resulted in a completely unearned sense of entitlement.  For the most part, I don't get the sense that relatively "nice" fan bases like Minny or Iowa hate fans of UM/OSU/PSU.  They do however hate Wisconsin fans.

I disagree with LSU being on that list. I wore Michigan gear to an LSU game in 07 when it looked like we'd go after Miles. People came up to me to talk about it and were nice. I wore Michigan gear to and LSU game in 09 and the fans wanted him to come to Michigan. They just get loud and obnoxious to make the stadium a hostile environment.

I know there are some good people in Philly. But,BUT they have more violent animals in that fan base than anywhere else in the U.S. You cannot go in there wearing an opposing jersey and think you'll have a good time. Friendly ball busting it is not. You'll either end up getting beer poured on you, see your car vandalized or you get in a physical atercation. It's such an angry city.

Boston fans. Eh, I went to Fenway once with a Mattingly jersey and I didn't have much trouble. But that was before things went up a notch with the Clemens/Pedo/Zimmer/Manny violent stuff. So maybe it's not as safe now. Dunno.

Maryland fans. Yeah they're not clever chanters. They just yell Fuck and fill in the blank with a players name. They also toss stuff on the floor.

Duke i don't get. I understand nobody likes a smartass. But they just yell funny stuff. Gotta give 'em that. They're not uncivil.

Just want to preface I'm a Yankee fan.  I have to think Yankee fans are hated because of a  sense of entitlement. I don't think it's based on bad experiences because I don't see things that cross the line at the stadium. I don't see it go past ball busting. If you want to pick the most ill mannered fans in my area I'd say it's Jets fans.

Montreal fans. F*ck 'em. They booed the U.S> national anthem too many times.

Cowboy fans. I think it's the same stigma as Yankee fans. The entitlement thing. Although it's harder the see the source of Cowboy arrogance since they've won 1 playoff game since '95. As for manners they seem to be civil to opposing fans down there. I'm a Giants fan BTW.

Lol, I've got a feeling Cliff Lee's wife might disagree a tiny bit with the statement above.

While I have no love for either PSU or Wiscy, if you have ever been to either stadium, their fans really get into it. I have been at both Madison and State College on two occasions for each school and have always been nicely treated other than for an occasional dig, but nothing worse than that. In fact, people have for the most part been very nice. Biggest knock on Wiscy is that the student section is empty much of the first half, probably due to the fact that many of their games start at 11 am CST.

As for the suckeyes, that is another matter altogether.

Any article that references Philly fans booing Santa Claus gets a big fat FAIL from me.  That was 40 years ago, I think.  Not that the people here aren't maniacs, but at least do some original work first.

Throwing batteries, intentionally puking on a off duty cop and his daughters, cheering when  Michael Irvin might have had a spine/neck injury etc. Those were just off the top of my head  and  I'm not even a fan of one of your teams rivals.

It is comparable because it is using the actions of one person or a small party of people to characterize a much much larger group. I did not read a single thing on ESPN or any other major news/sports outlet about the Victorino incident but if that had happened in Philly it would have undoubtedly been portrayed as another case of the big bad Philly fans by the media.

I went to a Red Sox spring training game and there were douches there taunting a college pitcher.  At least most of the crowd applauded when BC got a hit though.

Buckeye fans are the worst in America.  They don't discriminate against anyone.  They'll treat you like shit regardless of your race, age, sex or school.

They idoloize a coach who cheated, got caught and refuses to apologize. They send death threats to a former player.  They force a former quarterback to move 3 hours away just because he has the nerve to question the school on some of their moves.

Remember what they did to Grant Bowman's mom outside Ohio Stadium?

They force other schools like Texas to write out a full article in their school newspaper to see to it that their own fans don't sink to an OSU-like level.

A boy of just 10 years old is out to dinner with his family at Applebee's and flips the bird at a highlight on ESPN of an injured Denard Robinson on the ground against Bowling Green.  (Something I witnessed myself in Columbus last Fall).

And finally, they can't even respect a helpless band member.  A friend of mine from high school, a girl, got punched in the eye by a middle aged OSU fan simply because she was a Michigan Marching Band member standing outside the stadium chanting, "Let's go blue!"

Worst...fans...ever.

How they were excluded from this list while UW and PSU fans were included is beyond me. Yes, Badger and Nittany Lion fans are obnoxious .... but they aren't sociopaths!

A good friend of mine wore a Michigan shirt in Columbus ... during the summer ... to a U2 concert ... repeat: U2 concert ... and had a glass beer bottle whiz just a few inches by his head. Assault with a deadly weapon is NBD in Columbus.

I just scanned this thread but OH MY GOD the tits on that LSU fan are epic.

That's all, really. Boob praise is all I'm good for today.
