OT: Goodbye Ron & Fez. one of the best radio shows ever

Submitted by Monkey House on

This is way OT but as someone that has Ronnie B as their profile pic and his "tagging" name as my profile name I had to make a post about this great show coming to an end today. Over 20 years these two have provided smart, funny content and along with O&A has always been one of my daily listens. Goodbye Ron and Fez and thanks for the hilarious radio all these years. #Cakehorn for life.

Add "one of the best radio shows ever" to the ever expanding list of things in popular culture I have NO clue about and have never heard of.  It used to be just "best songs ever" and then it became "best TV shows ever" and now it's expanded to "best radio shows ever".

If my ignorance on popular things ever reaches "best beer ever" I think I'll call it a day.

Loved Ron & Fez. Ron Bennington has to be one of the greatest interviewers and I'm surprised he never got a bigger platform. He has a way of getting artists to drop the facade. I haven't really listened much since Eastside Dave left though.

O & A is unlistenable.  I don't know what's entertaining about them.  A good fart joke, no matter how low brow, has 100x the entertainment value O & A has ever put out.

O & A are offensive just to be shocking or offensive -- what I have heard them isn't even offensively funny, like a Chris Rock or Lisa Lampenili.

this past year, had never heard of them before. I felt like I was a guest at someone else's family reunion, and kept wondering when they were going to play some comedy bits. Instead, flipped up a couple of channels and got reacquainted with Howard, Robin and company.

I got into Ron and Fez on XM radio couple years ago. I listened to them on and off, nothing regular. I probably haven't listened them in a year but Ron was a pretty entertaining. Fez not so much. Ron seemed smart about many topics without being an overbearing ass.
