Was a spectacle. It's like wwe and sports combined. I kind of liked it but also hated it at the same time. The whole bottle throwing thing without any repercussions whatsoever has to stop though that is crazy. We went to the quarters in the meadowlands and a Mexican fan ran on the field. He got the obligatory hard tackle from a cop and there was nearly a riot with hundreds of bottles raining down on staff and the cops seizing the fan. Was like five seconds away from lord of the flies break down. Crazy.
I can't imagine what it was like on scene last night for the ten minute stoppage. American security and stadiums aren't ready for that but Fifa protocols should be. Plus the red who was basically assaulted and touched during the game was completely unprepared.
In football or basketball, those guys would have been tossed, team fined, etc. crazy.

I watched the Mexico game on Univision and even though I couldn't understand anything that was being said, that game was an absolute joke. Both teams played dirty. Panama couldn't stop bitching. The ref completely lost control of that game and Panama got screwed by that penalty call at the end of regulation. Then the ten minutes of craziness after that call. It was a clusterf*** on every level.
Thought so. Really have not seem such a poorly managed sports event like this one. Dirty play, bad refs, poor sportsmanship from fans and players. Crazy.
