I want to feel bad for the guy...I think mainly b/c of his family & he will be locked up for 2 years. HOWEVER, the guy made so many mistakes on so many levels its ridiculous and you cant help but shake your head at this.

Cowherd this morning was saying he will feel remorse b/c he is a smart guy and smart people feel remorse. How does CC know Plax is smart? "Because he went to college." No he didn't, he went to State.

Carrying a gun in a club, like he did, is a serious issue which deserves a serious punishment. That said, his being a major athlete, I'm surprised he wasn't able to get out of it with community service. After all, everbody murders.

"I'm surprised he wasn't able to get out of it with community service. " It's because of New York's mandatory sentencing. If there are gun violations, the person faces mandatory sentences, that neither the judge nor the prosecutor has the power to negotiate. Regardless of your opinions on gun control/rights, I think most people would agree that our society benefits from locking up Plaxico for two years at taxpayer expense. WAYYYY off topic, I've always supported some sort of graduated fine system, akin to the IRS's tax system. If you break a law and make 30 grand, you get fined X. If you break a law and make 3million, you get fined Xtime 100. /end rant.
