OT: Go to Comerica Park and Support the Tigers
As some of you know, the last week in the MLB season and the Tigers have the pleasure of facing Minnesota and Chicago at home. Like I said over a month ago, the division race will be decided this week, and we as fans need to go out there and bring electricity to the stadium.
The magic number stands at six right now. That means that Detroit clinches the division if they can take 3 out of 4 from the Twins. This isn't easy to do but it is very possible. If Verlander and Porcello can set the tone in the first two games, then all the pressure is on them. If not, then... not good.
This is the week we've been waiting for. Let's win the divison.

Ditto. No Comerica for me. But this is why the Extra Innings package was invented.

I also live too far away and haven't really seen many games. What are their chances if and when they make the playoffs? It seems like they're kind of fading down the stretch - do they have the firepower to hang with the Yankees in the first round?

It looks rough against NYY, but it's the playoffs so you never know. Regardless, this would be huge for Detroit. We couldn't bring home the Cup, but we can aim for the pennant.

You mean you predicted a month ago that a seven-game homestand against the Twins and White Sox the last week of the season would decide the division? Shocking!

I didn't mean to sound like that, sorry it came off the wrong way. It was in response to some people who were thinking the Tigers would walk away with the division. It's not an original thought, I agree.
