Bet the coaching staff is really happy with that cop.

Not happy it happened to her, but glad atleast, it didn't happen at Michigan (for my own selfish reasons)

Can GT make an official statement about the incident, or are the barred from doing so since the kid isn't committed anymore?

They cannot comment. You will only get one side of the story.

He's not a commit anymore. I would be surprised if there were an NCAA rule that covers whether you can comment on random high school students.

So GT can't comment but could the GTPD release a statement?

I'm not sure they would if no arrests were made.

I would think they could name him too. It's probably a violation, but the penalty would involve not be able to sign him.

PJ pulled the offer.
He and his mother were not sitting where they were supposed to and were acting like jerks the whole time, refusing to leave the area where they were not supposed to be. PJ pulled the offer after he was told what happened.

or something you read on a forum?

PJ does not take to disloyalty, waffling, or disrespect well. He does not put up with stuff like this, from potential recruits or current players.

Must be the naval academy background.

So, the answer is "no," it's not known by you, but, if the story posted by a random anonymous user on an internet message board is accepted as being true, then, based on what your dad told you someone who knows PJ told him about PJ's general tendencies, you believe he would've pulled the offer. OK, got it.

Yes. All of the time. Both on duty in my community and off duty officers who are close friends.

So has Dorothy Bland. Google her.

a bunch of my patients who are police officers are all stand-up guys/gals. One of the very few worker's compensation population who will ask straight-away: "So when can I get back to work?" and are pissed when I take them off duty.

Without going into details called the police for a non-emergency issue and two officers showed up within an hour took the report, and have followed up twice in 3 months.

interactions with cops. Some are great, some are corrupt assholes. Kind of like the rest of society.

I have a script I wrote for Chrome that hides posts from users who usually provide nothing worth reading. Like for instance when I added this little bit of CSS to it. I never have to read another comment or replies to Olaf. Theres a few others on the list but for those of you who know how to use CSS plugins for Chrome or I guess Firefox if anyone still uses it, heres the CSS I used. Quick look at plugins for Chrome, seems Stylish is a good one.

Group A, to whom I'm sympathetic, is almost always in the right. Group B, to whom I'm not sympathetic - though I I'd never admit that, is almost always in the wrong. I just wish the truth would come out about Group B. I get so sick of them. Bunch of jerks.
