OT - Gently-Used Clothing Donations

Submitted by Seth on
When we did the toy drive for Adopt-a-Shelter, a bunch of you asked if you could send clothing donations as well, and I said not now. Now is now. (Now-now). The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries is having a "gently-used" clothing drive. About: DRMM runs 7 shelters in Detroit and can use mens', womens' and childrens' clothing. Gently Used: \ˈjent-lē ˈyüzd\. Adjective. Clothing that is new, or used but has no tears, no missing buttons, no broken zippers, no stains, no other damage. You can tax deduct this. Houseware donations are cool as well. The stuff that they really need is coats/winter clothing, and work/dress clothes for business/interviewing. Of course, Michigan gear is always sweet. Donations are needed by Thursday, Jan. 14 As before, you can e-mail me, or call the "nice lady," Julie Kroflich, at (248) 478-5168.

Misopogon to the rescue again! I'll pass this along to my parents to see if they have some stuff to donate ... I'd be very happy to help out (full closet) if I were in MI.
