OT: Game of Thrones S6 E3-Oathbreaker

Looks like Arya has been given a second chance, she's getting some Daredevil training. Reek might be an unlikely participant in the Kingsmoot. Ramsay makes Joffrey seem like an ok guy. WHAT IS DEAD MAY NEVER DIE

So, the wife is going on travel very early tomorrow morning and has already gone to bed. This obviously prevents us from watching tonight's episode together. Do I watch it tonight or wait for her return on Thursday? Signed, Conflicted

It's your chance to make "all-knowing" predictions.  I do this all the time and my wife is amazed that I can remember the character names and that I know enough to "guess" what will happen.

This is basically the strategy that I take with shows like "Orphan Black" and "The Flash" with regards to my wife as well. She works evenings, so now and again, her work schedule conflicts heavily with her TV schedule. Granted, there are things like DVR and On Demand and other services, but it doesn't conflict with my own schedule so I watch them twice a week in some cases. Actually, I offer to live tweet the shows for my wife, who then starts throwing things.

I'm a man and she's a woman.

I'm not even married but know if I watch something without her, I'm both in trouble and watching it again.

I'll try to get her to watch a show, she'll refuse, then I'll watch the entire series.  Years later she'll want to watch it and that's how I've watched breaking bad and a few others a second time.

Somehow though, I'm still in trouble for watching it without her, even when I tried to get her to initially.

but don't trip, fall and spill your secret plans on the floor in front of her. Sorry, wrong Sunday night HBO show. We really should have separate threads for Silicon Valley and Jon Oliver.

I knew it was coming, either blackmailing coding chick was going to tell on them anyway or that they would somehow let it slip, but is it wrong that it was so predictable I was super-annoyed by it?

I kind of wanted to watch them pull it off, but I suppose part of the fun will be watching them scramble, ultimately succeed via a deus ex machina and then have a major pitfall introduced in the last episode setting up the theme for the next season.

Arya needs to second chance; she gonna kill everyone. Reek has no penis (literally). Ramsay is a bastard (literally). We will see if that last point is true with Jon Snow/Caitlyn/The Mountain soon! :-)

This should be one of the best episodes of the series to date. Excited like most about the Tower of Joy flashback, not because of Ned, Lyanna or Rhaegar, but because of the ancillary characters: Howland Reed, Sir Arthur Dayne, Gerold Hightower...even Hodor? Let's see.

their take was spot-on. I had trouble watching the real GoT and not thinking about the SNL parody. It's like, come on already, let's do something. In that way, it's like the books. Lots and lots of exposition, but the various plots are no closer to resolution. And now Bolton has another Stark to torture. Yay.

That said, I still think this is the best show on TV.

I hate that they keep on killing the dire wolves. Now only Ghost and Arya's are alive, the latter lost somewhere. I think they're cooler than dragons. They could've shown Rikkon and proved his identity by showing the dire wolf in a cage. Oh well

Bran's direwolf is still out there, right? So there are three left.

I too hope the Rickon thing is a ruse and that was not his direwolf's head. But remember that all this comes from finished material from Martin (the bulk of the sixth book is finished, including all of the first part, where he always wraps up the cliffhangers from the previous book). This feels like something that is covered in detail there.

But I tend to think, against hope, that Rickon's wolf is dead -- so far, the two confirmed dead are those of non-warg Stark children -- Robb and Sansa. It's known Jon and Bran are wargs, and Arya seems like a prime candidate -- her wolf will almost certainly reappear in the books if not the series. But little Rickon is a bit of a wild card, and so we don't know. But he never really felt like a warg to me.

I still think Bolton is destined to be torn apart by a direwolf, or perhaps a pack of wolves/dogs led by the direwolf last seen here:

The wildlings were knocked back by Stannis. The Boltons arguably are in a stronger position than he was. Unless there are alot more wildlings than I know about.

THat said, I'd love to see it. I hate the Boltons, and the wildlings with Tormund have really grown on me.
