OT: Game 7 Predictions

Submitted by MAgoBLUE on

I see 10+ assists for Rondo, 10+ points for Rasheed, and 10+ rebounds for KG as my Celtics remain undefeated in game 7's secure banner #18

the douches are that are negging you for offering your opinion in, you know, a thread soliciting opinions.

Unless it's because you announced that you hate both teams... Well, I also hate both teams, as do most Pistons fans who were around in the 80's.

I am gonna go with kobe scores a shit ton, but he's the only laker who does, so the C's win.  Ray Allen makes a 3, Rondo gets 10+ assists and points, maybe a triple double with rebounds.

All that said...as a Celtics fan i am VERY nervous about tonight.

The Lakers will win.  Kobe clearly has pulled it together the last two games.  Albeit game 5 was a loss and game 6 was a win.

The reason why game 6 was a win and game 5 a loss is simple.  Kobe tried to do too much in game 5 because the Lakers' bench was AWFUL (as they are in most road games).  In game six, he spread it around a little more, the bench blew up, and Gasol had a great game.

Also, losing Perkins is going to kill the Celtics.  Not like Perk was uber talented, but if there was a "VORP" stat for basketball - his production differential over Sheed's would be huge.

I agree that the Perkins loss is going to hurt a lot.  He doesn't do much offensively but his defense and rebounding will be missed.  We are relying on 'Sheed and Big Baby to step up and that scares me somewhat although I think 'Sheed has finally played himself into shape just in time for the last game of the season

Have to agree with you, the line being Lakers -7 will have the entire east coast taking Boston and the points or on the money line. I think the Lakers come out on fire and pull away quick. At some point the Celtics cut the lead under double digits only to lose by fifteenish when the game ends. Hate to say it because I hate Kobe.

Celtcis are really going to be hurt from Perkins being out of the lineup.  As we all know Sheed doesn't like to get down low and bang anymore.  Thats what Perkins gave them against the Lakers big front court.

I see it being close til halftime, then Lakers pouring it on in the 2nd half.

I think Perkins being out will hurt the Celtics more than some people think. He is physical, solid defender, and reliable on the boards. I expect the lakers to win a semi close game and hope they do because i cannot stand Paul Pierce. I just hope the refs don't ruin it for either team.

EDIT: And i just noticed i said the same thing as MAgoBLUE. Fuck Me. Neg away if you feel it is warranted.

But I think it's be hilarious if Sheed went off to cover their frontcourt losses. Just to see Bill Simmons head explode.

I think it is all going to hinge on how much Bynum can play EFFECTIVELY (not just limp around and take up space ) and put in some positive minutes, unlike Game 4.  When he is in and somewhat healthy ( not sure he has ever been 100% ) they are a completely different team.  If he can give them some quality minutes I think the Lakers win.  They are a great home team and I thiink they break the streak of game 7 losses to the Celtics in the finals.  One thing is for sure,  it should be a great game to watch.

it is a great game but I couldn't care less who wins.  I am sitting at borderline hate for both teams and both sports cities in general.  I dislike the pistons and I enjoyed them beating the lakers FWIW.

Boston has 4 of the 6 best players out there.  They are just older and more beat up.  I think that talent will come out tonight one last time and with increased spacing down low (due to Perk being out) the C's will be driving and hustling all night.

It'll be a barn burner and I think the Celtics take a 7 or 8 point lead into the fourth and barely overcome some Kobe heroics to win the game barely.

I also think after some surprising Solid play Sheed will get thrown out or foul at at the end of the game and almost cost the Celtics the game.  It's game time.

rasheeds gonna disapear like he he did with pistons in big games.  I wouldnt be surprised if he gets a T by the half.

I want to see Kobe go off.  IMO he's the best since MJ and I think its pretty unfair for all the flak he catches.

I love to see all things Boston lose.

Paul Pierce and Ray Allen bums.  I cant stand either one.

Lakers by 12.
